Hood's a big place, even if they were onpost, odds are they didn't even hear the shooting, let alone get involved.

A Soldier at Heart. You wouldn't understand unless you grew up in the military enviroment... I'll try to explain it the best way i can... It's one who isn't fully a soldier but knows what it means to be one...

A soldier is one who protects and fights for his country but there is a lot more behind that. A soldier is someone who knows why they are fighting. A soldier is one who knows that war, isn't just a game you played when you were little. They know it's hell, they know the sacrifice. They know what can happen. They know they might not ever see their family again. They know they may be captured and tortured beyond recognition. They know they could die a slow and painful death. This goes through every soldier's mind before a mission. They take a deep breath and go 'For my country and the ones I care about.' and they Soldier on.

I understand that fully.
