Why is death scary for no reason....you people do not know that death is the crossover to heaven or hell (as you people believe) yet it scares you.

Why?.

I am not scared of death. More of life itself.

I am not afraid of death, just dying, there is a differance.

I have a low pain tollerance.

As of 6/22/09 I am living life as a monk in the Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition, and as such, my replies and frequency online shall be greatly diminished

Fear of the unknown? Who'd of thunk it?
I'm excited for perpetual nothingness. 3nodding

So if you love me let me go
And run away before I know
My heart is just too dark to care
I cant destroy what isn't there
Deliver me into my fate
If I'm alone I cannot hate
Oh, my smile was taken long ago
If I can change I hope I never know
Death does not concern us, because as long as we exist, death is not here. And when it does come, we no longer exist. i am an atheist so therefore i am not looking forward to much, Death does not scare anyone, it is the absence of life that scares them, regret, remorse, they are all the aspects that anyone feels when they think they are going to die....truly we are all afraid, not one person can claim they are unafraid of death, otherwise, why would they still be alive?

Me too, but over the years I started to wonder, what if there is no afterlife? And what if whatever's beyond is truly forever? I don't want to do the same thing for an eternity. And what if we really only do get one shot? Even if we reincarnate, we won't remember any of this, and likely after death, we won't either - memories are nothing but meat information.

As much as I hate myself... I don't want to disappear. =/

98% of teens post bullshit statistics in their sigs. If you're one of the 2% who don't, congrats! You're not an idiot.

D'awww, thanks Da-Eh <3

Attention fantards - if you see yourself here, you may have a problem.
"Death is not to be feared, for it is the one thing we all have in common."

We are afraid of it due to survival instinct. People that do not fear death die before they can reproduce!

Im not afraid of death, because is it painless, unlike life, in which you can experience excruciating pain. Though I'd rather not die, because I like life, death itself doesn't scare me at all.

97% of teens would die if the Jonas Brothers say that it isn't cool to breathe.
I'll be part of the 3% laughing
Just because I can't turn my head 360 degrees doesn't mean I'm not insane. smile

that is incorrect, as it is true it is said that it is the baser of human instincts to survive, i believe that is incorrect, i believe that we don't fear death but rather the deep sense of regret we have that certain aspects could not be changed and we didn't have time to accomplish something, this is the root of fear and always will be, for example when someone is about to die but lives they say "my life flashed before my eyes" this is in the sense that they were thinking of regret or if they lived a good life acceptance, that is the only way i want to die in complete acceptance with my life and with no regret or worry

Yadda yadda yadda, be picky...

I'm not afraid of spiders, I'm just afraid of the look and feel of spiders.

The Holy Texts
This *insert time period*'s question:
Why do people care about the origins of the universe? (God did-it, Big Bang, etc.) What difference does it make? What could this tidbit of information possibly present? Could it cure cancer? PM me.
im afraid of chickens sad

the dead who had wished to live and the living who wish to die are the same. they have lost all that is precious to them.

Because you're a wimp.

What can change the nature of a man?
Heptane

White Americans today will quite possibly have British ancestors. We were the ones who made America what it is today.

Racist much?

Doesn't bother me a bit. When I get to Heaven, I plan to make sure I'm with 'Ol Sammy, and learn a thing or two. I, myself, can't wait for it, and I even know my experation date.
"you people"
"scares you"
How discriminative.
