Thinking pot can't cause cancer is just ******** absurd. You are smoking something. You're putting smoke into your lungs. I mean, really? You're going to attempt to refute that?

Eating pot is one thing. Smoking it - smoking anything - is another.

K, that makes sense. That's what I thought, just making sure.

I've been spending my whole life
Pursuing those who built this cell
Lamenting
All the hateful things that happened to me
Now I know
That I cannot turn back and change the past
The only choice to save myself
Is to change what I carry from it

I have only used one drug and that is Marijuana, and I've never been interested in any other drug. The stepping-stone theory is not valid.

Yes, because your personal experience with the drug completely invalidates research using a far larger number of people.

When I use marijuana, I am more comprehensive and interested in things. I think more deeply and am more comprehensive.

LOL are you using it right now?

I remember most of the things I learned and read and can focus 50 times more clearly than off of the bud.

No, you just think you do due to the psychoactive nature of the drug. In reality, marijuana impairs your psychological abilities and dulls concentration.

So it goes.
I think that 16 year olds should not have access to marijuana. It should be right up there with tobacco: adults only.

So.

What exactly in smoke causes cancer?

Carcinogens. It's factually accurate that marijuana does have more carcinogens in it than does tobacco. Luckily people don't (normally) smoke pot as frequently or as long as they do tobacco. Still doesn't protect them from the cancer-causing agents in both substances.

And yeah, boo hoo carcinogens are in lots of things. Doesn't refute the fact that there's enough to easily cause lung cancer - among other cancers, I might add - in pot smoke.

Anything that burns is carcinogenic in nature. Doesn't mean that you'll get cancer from sitting around a campfire.

In actuality, there isn't a single case of a pot smoker getting lung cancer from smoking pot. Also, cannabinoids such as THC and Cannabidiol have anti-tumoral properties and some studies have shown that moderate use may protect against neck, head and lung cancers.

It's all about vaporizers anyway.

Personally I think people shouldn't smoke pot because it leads to other drugs. Lots of people will disagree with this fact, and it is very different for everyone, naturally, but I doubt a lot of kids start out with coke or ecstasy or hard drugs. And I'd wager that a fair amount of drug addicts started out with pot.

Coming from a family of hardcore addicts and having lost a little sister to drugs, I can tell you that any door that even might possibly lead to such a place is a door simply better left closed. Why risk it? For a temporary high that's not good for you to begin with? I think it's just stupid, really.

(and for the people who say 'for fun'; If you can't have fun while sober then you probably should reassess something about your life.)

Way to help your case there, Holmes.

Pot hurts a lot of people, and the age matters. 18 is a common age for legalisation of things like tobacco and alcohol because that is the age when your body is typically done growing and developing, organ-wise. Your liver, lungs, etc don't actually finish growing until you're 15-18 years old.
Even when your body is done developing, it's not invulnerable to damage from smoke or alcohol. You're pretty retarded if you truly think pot doesn't/can't harm people.

Marijuana does not help cancer. It helps people who are going through chemotherapy.

And you bet your juvenille butt 2 years makes a difference when you're a teenager. There's a HUGE difference between a 14 year old and a 16 year old.
