was so young and know what she wanted..

what are your thoughts on her? being both
so young and in the world stage..

I don't like that her first answer was "I liked pink and Barbie!" That isn't what makes someone a woman.

However, judging by how she cringes every time they call her "Tim"...

I think her focus on gender roles is just part of living in a society that is so focused on gender roles.

Maybe the liking pink and Barbie was what set the cogs turning, as it were, in a way. Or at least it provided a clue. Playing with pink and Barbie is the height of the stereotype of a little girl, which is perhaps why she said that rather than anything else to highlight the stark contrast between what she was supposed to like according to society, and what she actually did.

I see nothing wrong with gender roles so long as those in them are comfortable with them, if that makes sense. People should have the right to conform to them, or on the other hand, to not.

Much harder than all that. Hopefully hormone replacement will be enough to at least make me look more like I want, but it's not a sure bet. And even then, there are all sorts of other procedures I need. But how far do I have to go until I've reconciled my insecurity enough to stop hating myself and living in the past? And will it ever be enough to make up the years of my life I've lost? An entire childhood and teenage years unlived, and possibly years to come. How long will it be until I finally get to exist? Everyone is only young once. Ultimately... I suppose I'm afraid that my time is running out.

Also you have to be loviling
and happy with yourself
before anyone else well..

Also I think a lot of it depends on
your genetics other then your
over all age... I've seen a person a lot
older going from MtF and they seem
happy even though there older.. I mean like
late 40's or 50's...

So try to stay positive and let things
happen as they well, stay true
to who you are over all...
