Everything posted after Singh Is Back seems like butthurt to me Lol.

Actually, if you read carefully, everything he posted was butthurt, sitting there assuming you're a god, and higher than everyone else is simply stating that you're really weak, so online you act all big, and bad a**.

rofl

He's not the one who had to go around posting childish insults on a mule account. Can't get much lower than that.

From the Crusades to the present Christians have been killing for the "right" causes. But how can Christians justify war? Isn't one of the Ten Commandments "Thou shalt not kill"?

I'm asking this to Christains who are for wars. Does killing people in battle not count?
Thou shalt not murder...

There's a difference in ethics. God said many times that Israel needs to fight, and indeed kill other people. He never ordered a singled-out murder of anyone.

Actually it's "Thou shalt not murder".

“Thou shalt not kill” ( Exodus 20:13).
No you lose. You're both bad Christians for not knowing.
The bible wasn't written in english.. you know this right?

The word used is תִּֿרְצָֽח׃ or "tirtzach" : the word used for the act of murder.
"kill" in a general word of action is הִרְג֥וּ or "hirgu".

The commandment was directly do not murder. To murder someone is different than to kill someone. Murder implies something that was both uncalled for and unnecessary. The word kill simply implies that something must die regardless of situation.
war is bad

no one should kill people

I was poking fun at the fact that many Christians watch American Idol and know all the winners and losers better than their Holy book.

This is flawed logic, I love how ignorant people flaunt it for all to see on the internet none the less. The commandment is "thou shalt not MURDER," killing in self defense is justified, such as defending your country or the innocent. Murder is in context taking a life without just cause. The word 'kill' is a misleading mistranslation made from hebrew to english that dates back centuries. Indeed, "kill" in English is an all-encompassing verb that covers the taking of life in all forms and for all classes of victims. That kind of generalization is expressed in Hebrew through the verb "harag." However, the verb that appears in the Torah's prohibition is a completely different one, " ratsah" which, should be rendered "murder." This root refers only to criminal acts of killing.

Well speaking of Christian soldier crusaders, did you know the CEO of Blackwater is an avowed crusading Christian supremist who encourages his troops to murder civilians indiscriminately?

My issue is with the hypocrisy of the conservative Christian right:
How can they say they are "pro life" yet have no problems supporting America, Israel, etc in their massive slaughter of innocent civilians?

Thank goodness even my Christian friends and friends in the serving/retired armed services know 9/11 was a total setup, and who is really in control of this Lucerferian world.

How is it defence to invade another country and murder the inhabitants? I'm thinking mainly of the U.S here.

Because when they are Muslim and brown, then it's ok. Least, that's the way it seems people tend to justify all the mass slaughter by Bush and Obama in the middle east.

Phantomboy411
well, if you actually READ the bible, God sent his people to war countless times.

And this is why I am not a Christian nor would ever follow such a violent book. Remember, in the story of Job "God" also seems to work with "Satan" to ******** up Job's life as a "test". Who would want to follow such a religion?

Atlus-sama

well I was being general when I spoke, but even then alot of soldiers still see it
as retaliation rather than invasion,to ensure a victory so things like 9/11 might never
happen again

I knew there was a real reason we went into Iraq! smile
