What I love is "break the left/right paradigm and join the right wing," nonsense. Look the left/right paradigm has the purpose of measuring where you are on the political spectrum, and you are on the right wing. Sure some people abuse it, how many times have you heard a conservative say someone is on the far-left when they clearly are not(Obama anyone?) on the far-left? Point being the left/right scale is relative and I don't see why it should go away.

I'm sad I gave up on this thread so soon. You made a very educated point as well. Good job!

Just be thankful I replied to your post.(Kind of) Oh and if you enjoy any or all my post you should take a peek inside my Gaia's journal there's more! (Usually) I'm opinionated to a fault. But I still love me for me cause I'm B &P!

Well what's wrong with being outside both?

I had been a life long liberal, but when it was clear most of the "left" was clearly supporting the brutal Afghan war, believing the Bush-Cheney lies on 9/11 and not allowing any questioning of Obama...I started to realize the left in America are not as intelligent as their European counterparts.

On the same token, I do not feel comfortable with the often Xenophobic, gay hating views of the right wing.

Strangely, it is precisely the liberals who give me the most anger and hate because of my views, despite being a leftist my whole life.

Because Pockybot you're not outside the paradigm, supporting war and believing what Bush or Cheney said about 9/11 have nothing to do with the left/right scale. There are people on the left who support war, the Soviet Union went to war with Afghanistan, Finland, etc, and it was on the left. Being a liberal does not even imply that you are on the left, hell I would say most are on the right in America.

Everyone who knows anything of history also knows that great social revolutions are impossible without the feminine ferment. Social progress may be measured precisely by the social position of the fair sex (ugly ones included).
