now this is just not right, elementary schools are thinking of(or maybe already are...im not quite sure) giving birth control pills to girls and condoms to boys in school. And these are just 6th graders....now i just have to ask, what is your opinion on the matter? should they be doing this, or should they not do this?

its not a matter of should or should not the kids be doing this its a matter of if the kids are getting it on they need protection. simple as that.

Nos amos nostrum vir caro.
no saying has ever been more true.
6th grade is not elementary school.

Smoke up kids, there's a Hotel Dusk sequel.

So you'd rather that kids go get each other pregnant and get STDs?

Listen, access to birth control and condoms does NOT increase the will to have sex. If the kiddies want to have sex, they will. It doesn't matter if they have access to protection, they will still do it.

yes, that is true, but the school should not even be doing that kind of thing.

i never said that i would want them to do it, but getting the items from schools, that just does not seem right.

Nobody cares about threats over the internet.

Even if you win, you're still retarded.

where else r they supposed to get them? its not like theyre going to be working a hell of a lot! If you cant stop them doing it, you might as well make sure that they're doing it safely. And giving the info to them now means that they might be more responsible when theyre older as well. Besides, contraception isnt the only reason a girl would go on the pill either

Why does that not seem right? Would it be better if they would have to get them from doctors? I doubt their parents would let them go to a doctor on their own without telling them what it's all about first.

Schools start giving out condoms at school in seventh grade here in Sweden. Should be from first, in my opinion.

If Latin is a dead language, ego sum necrophiliac!
... Wait, that didn't come out right.

Why not? They're just giving them protection. Just incase. If a person wants to have sex, they'll go have sex, if the school gives them protection or not. Or would you rather them not use protection?

They should be teaching abstinance not how to protect yourself.

Conservatives piss me off...

I agree that 11 year olds shouldn't be having sex, simply for the reason that most of them don't know how to protect themselves but... abstinence? GTFO.

It's not as if they'll listen, anyway.

hell if they didn't the population of teen parents would skyrocket.

i'd rather them hand it to them in school and them knowing that they have it and are taught about it. than not having any ******** clue of what protection is and what causes babies...

This may lead on the idea for young children to think it's okay to have sex. BUT...for these young girls, it depends on the area that they are living....birhtcontrol does not just make it so that you can not become pregnant...if they are young fat girls who have heavy periods it could be good for them to lighten it or lighten their achne (though this is rare and that is pretty much my ONLY acception to this case)...I agree...it would be more usefull to be giving it to people in highschool or older grades.
