asking questions then blocking

Well hello again all
I'd like your thoughts on this...

I was in a thread here and the person who
started the thread asked about a very very
serious topic/question on rape...

Any who with the story she told there were
many different factors the lead me to think she
wasn't as I and other debated the facts that

we were given by her, when we got to the information of where she
lived and there ages, it support my view even more
and then she blocks me, so to me!

She and people like her who block, people who
disagree with them no matter how, respectful it is is just foolish
and prove my point even more..

what are your thought on people blocking you
when your both on topic and respectful, should we just ignore them
outfight after, such things happen??

I ignore anyone who annoys me beyond a certain extent, whether or not I talk with them. I just don't care to read their posts, see their sigs, etc. I adore the ignore feature, and was very happy to find out about it when I joined Gaia. For a while, I had more on my ignore list than on my friends list. lol It makes for a lot less stress not seeing their nonsense.

Just because a topic is debatable does not mean that we had a debate. We didn't even have a conversation.

You failed to use reliable sources for your "facts" so you were just spewing words, and had an unstructured opinion. You were disrespectful to OP. She was obviously hurt by the situation she described, yet you acted like how she felt meant nothing. Hence why she blocked you. I highly suggest you educate yourself on how to properly resource a topic before attempting to debate, and how to do so respectfully

She was emotional about the topic, and despite you thinking you were respectful, she obviously doesn't think you were. Now respect that she's decided she doesn't want to talk to you, and don't make a big deal about it.

it was called..

It this rape... or would this be rape something of that type
though when you ask a question and the person is debating the
facts you've given to the thread.. why block them if there

not being disrespectful and are on topic of the post
it make me feel they just want a pity party... and nothing more..

asks about an important question about Rape..

to block someone fore there views
is in itself disrespectful, also she didn't really talk with me
so how could she have been tiered of me..

it just makes her seem like a foolish young girl and
push more people agent her side then for it..

of course it's fair, she can choose to ignore whomever she wants. There are no limitations on how many/who to put on ignore. There is no moral obligation either, nor should you take offense to it. All it means is she doesn't want to see your posts. She is young and obviously emotional, have some respect.

Because you did not reference any reliable sources to prove your claims, nor did you show any understanding of what "consent," "peer pressure" or "rape" means legally or by the dictionary definition.
