Anonymous is not just computer hackers. There is no leader of anonymous, similar to an anarchist group. The main problem that anonymous has with the "church" of scientology is their rules about speaking out against the church by people within the church and outside of the church. Opposers of the church are allowed to be lied, tricked, and/or destroyed. There have been many scientology related deaths, and crimes committed by the church itself. The death of Lisa McPhearson is what anonymous is making most aware.

Part of the reason why people hide their faces during these protests is because one of the rules in scientology is being able to destroy, or sue people who speak up against the church so if your face isn't covered you might be losing a pretty penny (or your life).

Scientology is a religion. Oddly it would be a lot harder to say that without all the crazy s**t that comes into it. However, it has a philosophy, a theory on where we came from, a sort of spritualism, it has goals and a purpose, and it really has aboue the same claim to reality as any other religion does. It is not just a money making scheme, there is a history and an idea behind it. Yes, it does look like a book LRH could not get published, but it stands up next to things like the bible.

Actually the bible seems fairly believable to me, and I'm more Buddhist than I am Christian (not agnostic, just indecisive <3).

If you live outside the US things might be different for you, but if you are inside the US the government does not judge whether the philosophy is believeable, just that it is there. I mean, it makes specific reference to Hydrogen Bombs, which, correct me if I'm wrong, are a human invention in recent years. And if said story is true, shouldn't the force used in the described event destroyed the earth? I know that just one hydrogen bomb today is enough to take out an entire continent, at least, and Scientology (again, I'm going on by whats published here, since Scientology as an organization is so mum on this) says that millions of these souls were destroyed with Hydrogen bombs.

I can move on to things like how a single man was able to ram 2 of every species alive on the planet onto a boat that could not possibly have fit them all. We could all wonder how a man without access to planes, or another boat for that matter, was able to get species from all of the continents of earth.

First things first, I was not raised a christian, and I was not fed stories from the day I was born. All my experience with religion comes from research I did on my own. So yes, I suppose that makes me bias myself towards the bible rolleyes

The one key difference between the bible and the works of LRH is that the bible is not meant to be taken in the literal sense (although many religions have done so). Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen and heard about scientology, they believe the stuff with Xenu *actually* happened. Thats a far-cry from a story with morals, designed to teach.

Yes, there are stories in the bible that come across just as impossible as the Xenu theory. However, the fact remains that its just that, a story. Any intelligent religious individual would be able to tell you that. They're there to teach, not to be taken at face value. So, following that idea, where is the morals in a space god blowing up millions of souls with Hydrogen Bombs?
