Scientific names:
Homo erectus soloensis - An unusually advanced culture with very muscular builds and brains 93% the size of ours, was capable of building sea-faring vessels and navigate, most likely had pre-paleo language, which disrupts the current theoretical architecture of paleo-anthropology...
Homo erectus meganthropus - has been estimated to have stood roughly 9 feet tall and wieghed roughly 750 to 1000 pounds. Archaeological data suggests remains to be over a million years old. Although once not considered to be of the Homo genus due to its seemingly improbable size for a hominid, Meganthropus remains were found along with tools normally associated with the Acheulean era, but of great size, making it difficult to refute the intelligence of the titanic hominid.

Anakim - "the [long]-necked ones" Reputed giants inhabiting the territory on both sides of the Jordan before the coming of the Israelites. The Hebrew spies said they were mere grasshoppers in comparison with these Anakim (Josh. xv, 14; Judges i, 20; Numb. xiii, 33). Their progenitor was Anak.
Avim - "village dwellers"
Elohim - "(the/a) god(s)" / "those who are the object of fear or reverence" - plural morphology of the concept of "god", one of the earliest accounts in history.
Emim - "the dreaded ones" (Biblical) "The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim" (Deuteronomy 2:10-11).
Horim - "cave-dwellers" - believed to have been allied with the Emim and Rephaim
Nephilim - "sons of (the) god(s)"
Rephaim - "the dead ones"
Seraphim - "the burning ones" (Biblical) Said to have been six-winged angels
Zamzummim - "the people whose speech sounds like buzzing" (Biblical) A powerful race of giants destroyed by God (Deuteronomy 2:18-21)
Other names (-ites):
Amorites - "people of the lord (god) of the (shining) mountain(s)" Biblical references try to pass them off as Canaanites, but history shows their influence in Sumerian culture predating Babylonian culture back to 2500 BC and beyond. Furthermore, Ancient Egyptian depictions show them to have curiously Aryan features and were "of great stature".
Girgashites - "clay dwellers" (of uncertain derivation) Little is known outside of a Biblical context, but they are said to have based their beliefs in purely earthly things.
Hittites - "sons of terror" An ancient people who inhabited Anatolia and northern Syria about 2000 to 1200 BC .The Hittites adopted many of the gods of the Sumerians and Old Babylonians. The odd thing about the Hittites, though, is that they seemed to have recognized that all gods were legitimate gods. Whenever they conquered a people, they adopted that people's gods into their religious system.
Jebusites - "threshers" Dwellers of ancient Jerusalem (Jebus)
Kadmonites - "ancient, they that went before, east, (thing of) old" or "children of the East" (Oriental?) A very ancient tribe
Kenites - "they who strike fast with the spear/lance"

Perizzites - "villagers; dwellers in the open country"
Curious historical races:
Ainu - "humans" Ancient Japanese race (first people of Japan?), with indigenous descendants still alive using an almost extinct language and culture with between 15 and 100 speakers left. The Ainu are traditionally animists, believing that everything in nature has a kamui (spirit or god) on the inside.
Anunnaki - "those of royal blood; princely offspring" A race of "deities" of half-gods (quarter-gods?) in Ancient Sumerian records, said to be the offspring of the Nephilim and humans. Much controversy surrounds this group, as the Sumerian cuneiform tablets suggest highly advanced technology such as genetic engineering, atomic bombs, and space ships as early as 12,000 BC. It is speculated that this race has since been and still is currently in control of the world and sees humanity as a genetically controlled "pet project". Other studies would suggest that the Aryan race is the remnants of the Anunnaki. Some claim that they are reptilian instead of mammalian and posess the ability (technology?) to shape-shift.
Aryan - "first speakers of Indo-European language; ones of pure blood" (debatable derivation and possible older meanings) Perhaps one of the most obscure and most mentioned of all races (throughout history) is the famous Aryan race that Hitler was trying to secure. While the history is vague, the esoteric information on this race suggests either a similarity or an alignment with the Anunnaki that is still held in power to this day. The data suggests that the Aryan race never vanished and that Caucasians are the carriers of Aryan blood (such as Hitler was trying to secure). Further esoteric speculation revolves around the Aryans fleeing to Agartha through Hyperborea in the Arctic Circle. Scarce and peculiar evidence hints at the potential validity of these claims.
Cyclopes - "circle-eyed" Primordial race of giants heavily mythologized yet credited for the creation of hundreds of European ruins using "Cyclopean architecture". Some ruminations of a possible genetic advancement of the pineal gland having formed a third eye in a Cyclopean race is worth of regard, given that heavy reliance on the third eye could have diminished the necessity of bi-visual development in successive generations.
Fomorians - "sub-magnus; -of terror; beneath the sea" (small giants/huge people) In Irish lore, either referring to an ancient race or they may represent the gods of a proposed pre-Goidelic population of Ireland. Alternatively, the etymological suggestion would be that they are an ancient sea-faring race and it is thought that they originally came from Northern Africa or Asia as they are described as having dark hair and dark skin in the original accounts.. The Formorian giants were supposedly endowed with double-rows of teeth, and many similar remains were reported to have been found between Lake Eerie and Ohio. Canadian Museum of Civilization (a citadel of conservative isolationism and liberal political-correctness) admits that in the Terminal phase (2,000 to 1,000 BC of the "Middle Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Culture" (previously called "Laurentian Late Archaic" ) a tall people (women 170 cm and men 180.7 cm) with "hyperdontia, or extra teeth... a genetic trait... biological...", dwelt in the St. Lawrence-Ottawa Valley (J.V. Wright, History Native Peoples of Canada: 10,000 to 1000 BC). Strangely, the skeletal remains of children were very rare.
giants of Canaan - This seems to be a collective term used as reference to the many tribes that had "interacted" with Canaanites, presumably solely a Biblical term.
Grigori - "Watchers" (Biblical) A group of "fallen angels" said to have mated with mortal women, creating the Nephilim race. Originally it is told that the Grigori were sent to look after, guide and assist man during the beginning of civilization. Sadly these angels were not suited to this job and instead of playing a positive role they began to teach man sciences that God had deemed to be forbidden. As for the Nephilim, it has been suggested that one of the main reasons for the great flood, was not only to punish man, but to cleanse the earth of the half-bred creatures created from the union of fallen spirit and flesh. (Italian Witchcraft) They are the Guardians of the "doorways" between the physical plane and that which is beyond.
Nommo "to make one drink" Worshiped by the Dogon tribe of Mali, folk art depictions of the Nommos show creatures with humanoid upper torsos, legs/feet, and a fish-like lower torso and tail. The Nommos are also referred to as “Masters of the Water”, “the Monitors”, and "the Teachers”. Esoteric "knowledge" claims that the Nommos are a race of beings that take the physical forms of dolphins, whales, mermaids/mermen. Their home world is a planet in the Sirius star system that is mostly warm aqua-blue water. (Hmm... 'k.) The Dogon culture is actually quite fascinating.
Teutons / Titans Ancient Germanic people who migrated from Jutland to southern Gaul and were annihilated by the Romans. They were known to have been widely proficient in runic sorcery and other various magical abilities, most notably the ability to shape-shift into animals. Countless stories have branched from their initial accounts.

Other notes of interest:
(Biblical) Cain went to the land of Nod, and produced giants. They were smart educated, intelligent, builders, inventors and scientists and knew the art of metal.
(Historical) Captain Magellan made an interesting reference in his ship's logbook. He mentioned a race of giants living on the Pacific coast of South America.
(Historical) Odin's lineage can be traced through the Tribe of Dann and we can show his travels even into the Mayan Traditions.
(Archaeological) "At times, the discoveries made revealed "mysteries upon mysteries." In July, 1877, four prospectors were looking for gold and silver outcroppings in a desolate, hilly area near the head of Spring Valley, not far from Eureka, Nevada.
Scanning the rocks, one of the men spotted something peculiar projecting from a high ledge. Climbing up to get a better look, the prospector was surprised to find a human legbone and knee cap sticking out of solid rock. He called to his companions, and together they dislodged the oddity with picks. Realizing they had a most unusual find, the men brought it into Eureka, where it was placed on display.
The stone in which the bones were embedded was a hard, dark red quartzite, and the bones themselves were almost black with carbonization - indicative of great age. When the surrounding stone was carefully chipped away, the specimen was found to be composed of a leg bone broken off four inches above the knee, the knee cap and joint, the lower leg bones, and the complete bones of the foot.
Several medical doctors examined the remains, and were convinced that anatomically they had indeed once belonged to a human being, and a very modern-looking one. But an intriguing aspect of the bones was their size: from knee to heel they measured 39 inches. Their owner in life had thus stood over 12 feet tall.
Compounding the mystery further was the fact that the rock in which the bones were found was dated geologically to he era of the dinosaurs, the Jurassic - over 185 million years old. The local papers ran several stories on the marvelous find, and two museums sent investigators to see if any more of the skeleton could be located.
Unfortunately, nothing else but the leg and foot existed in the rock."
(Archaeological) Mysterious Tihuanaco may be the world’s oldest city. "The City of Tiahuanaco is also full of mystery. Lying at a height of some 13,000 feet, it lies on a plateau that looks like the surface of a foreign planet.
The atmospheric pressure is nearly half as low as at sea level and the oxygen content of the air is similarly small. This isolation and altitude makes the very construction of the city all the more remarkable considering the stones came from mountains 50 miles away.
“There is evidence that the city was once a port, having extensive docks positioned right on the earlier shoreline of the now inland waterbed. One of these wharves is big enough to accommodate hundreds of ships."
“According to Incan legends, Tihuanaco was built by a race of giants whose fatherland had been destroyed in a great deluge that had lasted for two months.”.

In 1972, a French analyst named Bougzigues working at the Pierrelatte nuclear fuel processing plant detected a small but significant change in an important ratio between Uranium 235 and Uranium 238. The proper ratio is well known and well established in that field so that the change indicated that something way out of the ordinary was going on.
The initial suspicion was that someone had included spent fuel in with the recently mined ore. This was quickly ruled out because there was no radiation signature associated with the mystery uranium..
The mystery uranium was eventually traced back to the Gabon mine at Oklo. You need to understand that what was so incredible was that a nuclear reaction had occurred such that plutonium was created and that the nuclear reaction itself had been “moderated”! This means that once a reaction is initated, if you want to harness the power output in a controlled manner, you had better be able to keep it from exploding and releasing all the energy at once. .
This particular group of reactors was, incredibly moderated using --water. The first modern nuclear reactors used graphite and cadmium rods to moderate their reactions. .
As a matter of fact, many people today know that the reactor is a relic from a prehistoric civilization. It's probable that two billion years ago there was a fairly advanced civilization living at a place now called Oklo.
This civilization was technologically superior to today's civilization. Compared to this huge "natural" nuclear reactor, our current nuclear reactors are far less impressive. The question is: why did such a highly advanced civilization disappear? That's something to ponder about.
The textbook of Basic Radioactive Chemistry (C. Claire ed.) used by Tsinghua university has the following paragraph: "The natural uranium in the Oklo mine in Gabon, West Africa, contains an abnormal amount of U235. It is as low as 0.29%, rather than the normal 0.72%. This means that many self-sustained nuclear fission chain reactions took place at this mine about two billion years ago.
Thirteen nuclear reactors existed in prehistoric periods along the 200-metre mine bed, and they were comparable to the modern nuclear reactor in power and heat combustion. This mine had the capability of enabling self-sustained nuclear chain reactions...." This discovery, that shocked the entire scientific community in 1972, has already been forgotten by people today."
Mohenjo-Daro
"When excavations of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro reached the street level, they discovered skeletons scattered about the cities, many holding hands and sprawling in the streets as if some instant, horrible doom had taken place. People were just lying, unburied, in the streets of the city.
And these skeletons are thousands of years old, even by traditional archaeological standards. What could cause such a thing? Why did the bodies not decay or get eaten by wild animals? Furthermore, there is no apparent cause of a physically violent death."
Vitrified Ruins
Several hundred known sites of ancient architectural accomplishments around the world were found to have been exposed to a level of heat unlike any natural occurring phenomena apart from lightning, which will scorch a given area, but not encompass the entire structure. The temples are seen today as built mainly of stacked stones that were fused together by intensities of heat the likes of which an atomic explosion would be needed to recreate. Also, it is interesting to note that there are many other places on earth where vast sheets of green silica glass stretch across the landscape, usually under sand or soil. Green silica glass is what is left after an atomic blast on sand. Now imagine some archaeologists have dug more than 20 meters into the earth to find irradiated green silica glass. There was also a green silica glass scarab beetle ornament found in Tutankhamen's tomb.

In the way we traditionally view ancient history, it seems absolutely incredible that there was an atomic war approximately 10,000 years ago. And yet, of what else could the Mahabharata be speaking? Perhaps this is just a poetic way to describe cavemen clubbing each other to death; after all, that is what we are told the ancient past was like. Until the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, modern mankind could not imagine any weapon as horrible and devastating as those described in the ancient Indian texts. Yet they very accurately described the effects of an atomic explosion. Radioactive poisoning will make hair and nails fall out. Immersing oneself in water gives some respite, though is not a cure.
Interestingly, Manhattan Project chief scientist Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer was known to be familiar with ancient Sanskrit literature. In an interview conducted after he watched the first atomic test, he quoted from the Bhagavad Gita:
'Now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.'
When asked in an interview at Rochester University seven years after the Alamogordo nuclear test whether that was the first atomic bomb ever to be detonated, his reply was:
"Well, yes, in modern history."
