The Kapeleuophage Shrantic The Kapeleuophage Shrantic The Kapeleuophage Shrantic Battle rifles fire full-powered rifle ammunition, assault rifles fire intermediate caliber ammunition. (And you can't get either in a month 'cause they're class 3.) Also, I would not want a rifle like that. xd I mean- people complain about the kick of the Mosin. Just think about how much a selective fire Mosin would hurt if you fired it faster than you could work a bolt. AR-15 fires 5.56 NATO. AK47 fires 7.62x39mm M43. AR-15 has a muzzle velocity of 260 m/s faster at 975 m/s. With similar ammo purposes (neither are armor-piercing or anything special), the 5.56 is going to cause less carnage unless it tumbles or ricochets. 7.62 is by definition wider than 5.56 and at a slower speed is likely to ricochet off of bone after it looses enough velocity. AR-15's rifling is also better than AK-47's I THINK, and that will decrease tumbling of the 5.56 round. The 5.56 is more likely to tumble inside a skull, but with a chest shot, the 5.56 is also more likely to just zip right on through the zombie. It does in normal people. I agree that I'd rather have a weapon firing 5.56 though, because the higher velocity and rifling is also going to add to accuracy, and that means I'm more likely to place shots where I want them, and lets face it, if I'm going to waste ammo at all, I'd like to waste as FEW shots as possible, as there is no guarantee I'll find more any time soon. You can get them for less than one grand in some places. Instead, I'm probably getting a $350 SKS in excellent condition with a spare plastic stock (with pistol grip) and a 20 round magazine. The SKS fires 7.62x39mm rounds, the same that the AK-47 fires. |
