As someone actually in the medical field I can tell you that the anti-vax morons are beyond help. The research and numbers they throw around are inconclusive or just plain bad research. People who promote this dark-age hysteric approach are either misinformed laypeople or worse medical professionals looking for 15 minutes of fave or $$$.

Oh, no, the anti-vaccine people have decided to smear Paul Offit as a liar for exposing Wakefield as a fraud. That's pretty much what happens to anybody who disagrees with them; they get trashed and insulted (and even death threats). They don't care about the truth; they want their monies from parents who fall for their lies. Just take a look at the 'treatments' that they recommend; it includes expensive supplements, etc. that are recommend by their special doctors.

(they even rally behind a doctor charged with manslaughter and still advocate the treatment that killed a 5 year old)
