for the record, i'm pro-life i support abortion in the case of rape and stuff. other than that, if you really don't want a kid, there's no real reason to have sex.

no sex = no babies.
Oh, yeah. Okay guys, back off. Phantomboy411 has just solved abortion.
Because sex has no bonding qualities or no sense of intimacy. Its only function is reproduction. lol

Two words: Who cares?

Maybe people get upset about it, but they can cry me a river for all I care. They can go home and cut themselves and cry all night long, but I still don't care. It's none of their business and it isn't their problem.
Would you allow a stranger to discipline your child and give them a spanking? Why should a stranger have any say in what happens to your child before it's born, then?

It's important because I support PREVENTING ******** PREGNANCIES IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I'd rather a girl take her damn pills every single day on time and not get pregnant than have her pay for pills, take them sporadically, get pregnant, and have to get an abortion.

Wouldn't you?

Yeah, but that doesn't always happen. That isn't how life works.
Sure, it's a good idea to persuade people to do that. But sometimes they don't. This is why we have a backup plan - a.k.a. abortion.

But when you grow up and get out of middle school, you see, there's this thing older people like to do. Eh... Nevermind. I'll leave that one to your parents.

So just because we have abortion, we should stop worrying about how many people don't use protection properly?

I mean, that's like saying because we have triple-bypass surgeries, we should stop encouraging people to eat healthier.

very cute. my point is, believe it or not, it IS possible for (yes, even "older people" wink to actually WAIT to have sex until they at the very least have some sort of pill or something.

No, sorry, but keeping a child which is not yours is a knee-jerk evolutionary reaction.

We must overcome what we're programmed to do. To see beyond simple patterns.

I like this example. Very nicely put.

Preventitive medicine is the most effective medicine of all. If you eat poorly, don't exercise, and smoke, you should expect a heart attack in your future; likewise, if you have sex, you should expect that pregnancy may occur.

But if it does occur, you should be free to do as you choose with your body without being harassed by the "moral police."-----

Until someone points out that the little clump of cells is an individual and not "your body." Which is why people still debate it so fiercely--not because they want to control women and force them to have all sorts of babies they don't want, but because they think the unborn are individual beings that deserve some sort of protection.

Then scientists better get a move on. Better develop some sort of external incubation system to revive all those aborted babies. Maybe someone wants them, but I know I sure as hell don't.

I agree with both you and the statement. Anti-abortionists are not against women's rights, they are advocates of life.
