A discussion for those that dislike Twilight

I find it rather interesting, and a bit sad, that it seems the first Twilight book was written in merely 3 months...And must say that if Meyer's work is the same level to something written in a few minutes, it says a lot about Twilight's author...3 months does not seem to me a long enough period of time to write something that has become so mass obsessed over...Which makes sense from a literary standpoint as to why the book is so poor in detail and written in such a sad, childish manner.

It is amazing reading everyone comments, I am fascinated by the level of opinions, facts, and statements being made...It's such a wonder, and makes me so glad to have made this discussion...I'd very much love for people to continue.....

We don't seem to be reading each other's posts much though. Without any kind of back and forth I can't get into this thread like a higher quality thread functions.

Maybe if he actually acted like a 112 year old man then they would actually care. Then again I can think of another 112 year old that doesn't act his age... (You know who I mean Kaz. wink )

We get it. Smutty literature. But Twilight is ment to appeal to a certain age group and it serves its purpose well.

It's kinda like how Blue's Clues or Dora the Explorer is targeted towards a certain age group.

It's targeted at a group in our age group. We've all seem them milling around.

There're tons of essays online, by the way, ripping Twilight to shreds.

I used to like the series. It just simply got kind of boring for me after a while. Of course most things tend to do that for me anyway.

There are a few things I can read or watch over and over and over again and still love them though. Twilight just simply isn't one of them.
