Hm. If the world doesn'tend in 2012 (feh, the world was getting boring anyway...) then it WILL end in 2050... Everything is supposed to happen in 2050, including the utter melting of the icecaps, a few grand polution finales, and some other stuff I forgot. It's approximate, but that will be the period to live in, if 2012 doesn't come through...

2012 is not the end of the world!

It is the end of the Mayan Calendar along with about 5-7 other calendars, however, each calendar STARTS OVER.

In essence it is a time of new beginnings. A New World per say.

The Mayan prophecies, along with a billion other prophecies, are unclear in what exactly will happen. The only real common thread is that everyone will have to go through great strife, pain and terror, before becoming open to new energies that will shift the world.

If you believe in 2012, simply open your mind and heart and you'll help change the world we live in.

That's it, no big bang, no nuclear holocaust, no asteroid from another galaxy.

Well, some scientists think every year the world is moving closer to the sun by.44 of an inch. So, they think the Earth will fall into the sun around 5032. So i wouldn't worry about it that much.

Actually the Mayans didn't predict anything about the end of their calendar. Except maybe huge celebrations. :V

Our calender ends every year on December 30 12:59. Does the world end every year then? No it doesn't. The Mayan calender ends at 2012, but that doesn't mean it marks the end of the world. IT just start all over again.
