Until I see empirical proof that the world will end on my 23rd birthday I will live on as normal, after all isn't all that we know about this just the fact that their calenders end on that day? I'm pretty sure that all calenders end and then of course we need a new one, or the world would end each time he ran out of months on our calendars.

Personally, i think it will be the end of mankind. Not all at once though. There will be a fight for survival, against zombies, and also creatures. I think the movie "Resident Evil: Extinction" Portrays a great "end of world" scenario.
