Welcome to Gaia! ::

I didn't see a thread for this wonderful sport, and couldn't help but make one!
Finally! Someone agrees!
My other half LOVES this sport so I get to watch it every week with him. I've realived that a lot more goes into it than driving around in circles and have grown to enjoy it....but I think most fans watch it for the crashes
i watch it for the sport not the crashes look at dale e. sr. he died from a crash. and that is was sick fans do i a healthy fan that is against a crash so post are you healty or sick???
I admit I do watch it for the crashes, but also, to root for my man, Smoke! Go #14!!!! ^^
I watch it because my husband watches it. He watches it because he enjoys all the strategizing that is involved and he loves the #24.

I figure crashes are a part of racing at high speeds with a bunch of cars in a tight bunch. My husband loves seeing cars crash, but he doesn't like seeing drivers get hurt...luckily ther saftey equipment on the cars protects drivers very well, but death is a risk you take when you participate in a sport like this.

All I was saying is that I see the crowds in the stadiums go wild when a crash happens. This last Talladega race was concidered to be a boring race for the most part because of rules put in place at last min to reduce crashes and crashes still happened.

yeah they shouldnt have changed anything in the rules. What I am really pissed about is that Ryan Newman (my favorite driver) flipped on top of Kevin Harvick (my 2nd favorite driver)!!

It's always funny untill its your drivers...that sucks man! What was great was what Ryan Newman said after he got out of the car.

They put rules in place to try not to have awful crashes, but it is the nature of the sport and the drivers are mad because they can't race eachother!
My favorite 'Dega so far has to be the one where Carl Edwards pulled a Ricky Bobby. That...was....GREAT!!!!! ^^

that wreck wus Brian Vicker's fault. that guy is a dope.
I llike NASCAR it's cool but here;s my question do they wet themselves i mean they r in those cars for three or more hours who can hold it for that damn long?
I think there's something that solves that problem in their suits. Or, they may actually hold it, (It's not like it's a hard thing to do...) but I think it's the suits.
