I had friends over, we threw a UFC party, and counted down to the fight....and then were were just like "..wait...what?"

Hopefully tonight's fights will be better. Probably would've been better if it wasn't just one single fight...

Well, it wasn't a PPV. If it was, it wouldn't have been only 1 fight. So you didn't have to "buy" it. Hell, it was on local station for me, so I didn't technically even have to have satellite. It was as free as it gets.

And having just got home from Buffalo Wild Wings to see tonight's fights, I have to say [******** AWESOME! Hendo came out by unanimous decision, after 5 bitterly brutal rounds!

The thing with UFC on Fox ... they needed to build up the fan base ... realistically that card needed to appeal to the casual fan /// we gotta ease people in ... and beside the rest of the fights were free on Facebook ... anyway ... in the defense of Velasquez ... he was coming off a pretty long layoff and shoulder surgery ...

Oh, I'm not taking anything away from him. It really just came down to a lucky shot, anyway. He went low, Junior went high. It didn't even so much "rock" him, as it simply made him lose his balance, and Junior capitalized on his downed state. Nothing indicative of a lack of skill from Velasquez, at all. Just an unfortunate run of luck.

Yeah I got that essentially ...

Congrats to dos Santos on the win ... made more impressive with the fact that he came in with a torn MCL ...

As for last nights fights ... definitely interesting ... we will get Cruz/Faber III ... the thing I find really interesting is Hendo's status as a contender ... because he can go either to LHW or MW ... but both divisions have people waiting in the wings ... will be interesting on how this will work ...?

This should be interesting ...

Marquez won the fight clearly all boxing journalist had it the same way with JMM winning but because of how corrupt boxing is their cash cow Pacquiao was given a gift decision so they could set up Pacquiao vs Mayweather it's sad really Marquez was robbed!!!
