I did Judo and Kung-fu North Shaolin...
Now i doing Muay Thai or Thai boxe.
Its cool see a lot people high grade here

@ Little Takehiko: The school I'm currently affiliated with just got back from Nationals. One of our younger girls came home with a gold medal.
Kuk Sool Won is a Korean style. Honestly though I have no idea what it's really like, I just know from the name that it's Korean.

@ Will Flycat: I've never done Judo or Kung Fu. But I do Hapkido which has a few roots in Judo and a lot of similar techniques. And I did do Kenpo for about a year, just to see what it's like. I would love to eventually practice traditional Kung Fu though. How are you liking Muay Thai?

Once upon a time- bump

bumpums?

shotokan karate is my martial art (well, not liturally mine, just the one i do)
i've been practising it for just over 5 years and I got my black belt in august last year biggrin woop biggrin
i love karate, it teaches you disapline, control, self defence and confidence in your own abilities
I find it wierd though how i trained longer for my blackbelt grading than for anything else in my life confused
is it the same for you guys?

Yep, I'd say I've put more effort into my training than I've put into anything else I've done throughout my life. Honestly half the time I'm awake I spend thinking about my training, if not actually doing it.

well i started to do wrestling now

Have you ever thought about Jujutsu? I've done some seminars for it but never spent a lot of time training in it.

well wrestling lets me do what i do best which is slam people rofl

Yeeeeaaaahhh, take downs are great. So does that mean you're not doing Judo anymore?

I took up karate about 10 months ago. I'm currently a yellow belt and I have to do about 9 more classes before I can graded for Orange belt, or more depending on whether my Sensi thinks I'll be ready for it or not.

I love Karate, I've learnt a lot since I've taken it up.

yea.. i think a while before i got close to black belt i was starting to train harder for it.. and even now im putting so much effort into my training thet it practically consumes all of my free time

@Goingd: hmm... ill have to do some research on it, sounds like something i should've seen something about.
