a while ago my female GYM teacher was on the USA hockey olympics team. We have a hockey team and more girls play than boys, though originaly it was ment for boys... We don't get reconized but we're pretty good. Your right. Girls don't get reconized, and you know, on the NHL site, the only part that has to do with women is the cheerleaders! No way to get involved with anything. I'm really not a big sports person but it is somthing that should be fixed. yah...

I hate shopping and have never worn make up in my life! I don't even like sports. I'm a gamer, so shut up with the steriotypes that you don't even know about. (I'm not over weight and I don't play WoW!) Yes, sports is a good way for exercise. I play hockey (not field, street) and (if these count as a sports) karate, and I march in a drum and Bugle core. I don't like sports, it doesn't mean, me or anyone else wouldn't be good if we tried. Yes, I've tried, and I do fail, because it was football. (sorry female football fans) Otherwise, go do some reasearch smart one!

4 generations it has been quite ovius that this is "a mans world" wether we like it or not. There r women's teams and sports but female athletes r not recognized. I took a poll and discovered that 74% of Americans couldn't name 3 female athletes, 20% cud not name any female athletes while only 6% cud name at-least 3. This is appalling, in my 6 years of journalism ive never seen such unfair sexist treatment. 99% of Americans were able 2 name 5 male athletes! Yea, women have teams, yea they have games but r they recognized?

Americans don't know anything.Sorry but they are so lost.The only sport that they are interested in is American football,and it is so stupid game.A lot of people there aren't interested in sports and it is not problem in women athletes.I'd like to know how many men athletes knows one average person in America?There are so many great athletes in America,it's shame.I live in one small country in Europe,and I really don't know the person who did not hear about sisters Williams,maybe Marion Jones,Lolo Jones,Lindsay Davenport,Jennifer Capriati...and others...I wanted to say problem is in people in America,not in women. smile sorry Americans
