Well most people think that she is going to get destroyed by Cris Santos ... I don't think so ... Gina has trained muay thai too ... with Master Toddy (top five in muay thai in the country) ... not to mention see trains at Xtreme Couture (Randy and the guys) ... and unlike Cris's previous opponents ... she is not going to shy away ... she is going to stand firm ...

She does ... Gina doesn't have that much problems with the cut ... when Gina missed weight ... she missed weight by a pound or two ... Cyborg last fight she missed weight by seven pounds ... not a good thing ...

And I read that the Strikeforce brass has a fighter waiting ... just in case one of them can't fight ...

It is not Tara LaRosa ... though that would be awesome ... the fight waiting in the pen is Erin Toughill ... it is kinda funny ... Erin fought along side Gina on American Gladiator as Steel ...

Cyborg promised she will never miss weight agin.Im sure she will do all she can do to make weight the weight cut could affect her game alot if she overdoes it.

But the thing is ... will she be willing to lose that much water weight ... who know she might even use banned substances like Stanozolol to help cut the extra weight, in which case she would be unable to fight ... I doubt it though ... she want this ... as bad as Gina ...

xp True about Gina.

Haven't seen either fight lately, so based on the last time I saw them I'm going with Cyborg. Couture I'm sure has tought Gina alot (dirty boxing anyone?). Still last time I saw Gina fight I wasn't very impressed. I hope she's improved alot with Coutures help.

She has ... it is Randy Couture after all ... any fighter that trains with Randy and the guys at Xtreme Couture will be a better fighter ... as for Cyborg's camp ... well it is Chute Boxe camp ... Wanderlei Silva, the Rua brothers, Anderson Silva ... many greats and legends have made their start at that camp ... so this may come down to who has the better game plan ... maybe down to who has more heart ...

The main event will feature Gina "Conviction" Carano (7-0) and Cris "Cyborg" Santos (7-1) as the clash to see who will be crowned the new Strikeforce 145lb Women's Champion.
