Welcome to Gaia! ::

Woahwoahwoah, some people need to watch what they say about FlapJack, it's an amazing show : |
But other than that, I completely agree. I saw some comercial for some live action thing with douchebags blowing up s**t, trying to be mythbusters or something. I was ashamed to even be on that channel.
Flapjack is good actually neutral
aww but i like teen titans and ben 10 i watch those whenever it comes on n.n

i like the star wars clone wars thing too the other stuff i dont watch, i watch fairly odd parents spongebob, jimmy neutron and i think that's it.

i'm strting to get into icarly because my sister always watches it but i did like jake and josh lol
Does anyone notice that the owners of Nickelodeon(Viacom) hold a good percentage of the most watched channels today? like MTV, VH1, Spike, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., The-N, CMT, etc. the list goes on.
Granted they don't hold Cartoon Network, but guess who does? one of Viacom's biggest partners, Ted Turner. And not only this but Turner has recently thought about selling to none other than viacom. (yes I did research all of this..I have nothing to do with my time.) So does this mean that viacom is behind turning all of these chanels into processed poo..possibly.
Cartoon network has never been the same since ever though. Cow & Chicken was the last show that I watched before I stopped. I miss Samarai Jack though, I thought it was actually good.
That channel has to be put to death.
Toonami was the best they had.
It's not even cartoon network anymore!
I see real people on there.
The channel title doesn't make sense with what they're trying to feed the public.
It's so... BLAH.
They need to go back to the late 90's and early 2000's.
That was when Cartoon Network was bomb.
=/ I'm not really a fan of, cartoons.
So it doesn't matter to me?

I agree; getting rid of Toonami was a big mistake (but I saw this coming when it became a Saturday only thing) and chances are they realized that. But do they bring it back? why admit to being wrong when you can replace it with something totally different such as reality tv (so much for all cartoons all the time)? They're reality shows don't even have anything to do with cartoons! Next big Cartoon where people vote on who designs the next great cartoon makes sense; Othersiders, aka Junior ghost hunters of Californa not so much. They're killing their network. The only new show worth watching is Star Wars and they did bring back teen titans, which they should consider doing new episodes on.
BTW, toon disney or whatever its called now has the second Naruto series on it. While I haven't been able to watch it on that channel, I do know it is even more intense than the first. Okay, so it is on at midnight, but Disney is so picky it says something when they approve it.

What they need to do is bring back Toonami for everyday of the week, get rid of the reality tv and stupid new shows, and get back to where they were five or ten years ago.

There's not much one can do anymore except maybe start up a petition.

An excellent solution! Internet petitions have a massive sway over television networks! But yeah, Cartoon Network has been in the shitter for most of the decade. It's all about Boomerang now. Disney XD has some nice stuff too. Flapjack and Chowder aren't terrible though.

If you start a petition, count me in. It would be great if we got everyone on Gaia to sign one.
They are actually in the process of changing the name of the network. Right now they are calling themselves CN. They are showing live action because they are trying to better compete with Disney and Nick. There was also research done that showed children of this current generation enjoy and are more interested in live action. They are only trying to keep afloat in uncertain times.

Does that mean that the older generations like it, most certainly not. But at the very least they are still able to show some of their old programs that were so popular on Boomerang.

In all reality American Cartoons are becoming a lost art. Movies are all 3D animated and live action. The most recent animated cartoon is by Disney (I believe it's call the Frog Prince). Cartoons are very expensive to make and a lot of companies don't want to spend the money on making them. Hopefully as the economy improves and the current college generation begins to have children we will see more cartoons again.
I TOTALLY agree! I want Dexter, Powerpuff girls, Courage, Johnny Bravo and all that. crying
I actually don't watch it, but if those still went on CN,
I'd really watch it every day. *misses*
This Means War. 0=
Disney and Nickelodeon sucks too...the world is coming to an end for the better.
yep yep they are almost screwed
Some of the shows on there are inappropriate for younger kids such as total drama action(I do like that show.) I miss the old cartoons like power puff girls, Dexter's lab, fosters home for imaginary friends, my gym partner is a monkey and camp lazlao.(spelling?) On nick I miss cat dog.
