dawn reverie
Disney XD (renamed from Toon Disney) is showing a lot of "geekier" stuff. They do show some of the Disney shows that are on reruns. But they play X-Men: Evolution (which makes my heart squee with joy), Static Shock (even more squee) and some of the old school superhero movies. It's pretty freaking sweet. They do play Naruto Shippuden, which surprised me a lot.
As for Cartoon Network. I watch Adult Swim every night. But I miss the old school Toonami that I waited anxiously for every day when I got home. Ben Ten actually isn't all that bad, I would have loved it if it had come on a few years earlier than it did. I really love the art style of Chowder, but I don't watch the show because of lack of substance. I miss old school Nickelodeon WAY more than I miss old school Cartoon Network though. It pisses me off so much that Nick has "Nicktoons Network" for their old shows but they mostly only play Avatar, Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents and some of their own shows (ex, an X-Men show that is seriously confusing, a Fantastic Four show and some other stuff) instead of Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Catdog, Ahh! Real Monsters, Rocko's Modern Life and such.
So that's what Disney did with Marvel! I heard they bought the rights to use the characters, but I thought they were going to make some lame animation feature.
Anyways, I don't see why everyone is all testy about a channels new look. How old are you guys if you can recall primetimes like Toonami and name the majority of their 90's cartoons?
eek
I actually saw Cartoon Network after months of no satellite at my grandma's house and I didn't think it was too bad. Cartoon Network just wants to involve kids more so they set up talk shows and game shows. Also, the new cartoons aren't that bad. I wouldn't mind lettng my sister watch it. As for Toonami, I was never really into it. I only watched it for Godzilla and Sailor Moon, but I didn't b***h about the cancellations afterwards. If you guys are 16+ and want the good ol' days, there's your problem, your too old for cartoon network. I don't care if you like looking back, but remember that Cartoon Network doesn't really care about your generation that much (except Adult Swim). They care about the current generation and what the current generation wants is cartoons about being a teenager and talk shows so let them have there moment and settle to youtubing your favorite shows.
Also, do you really think Adult Swim will keep satisfying you? Eventually the current generation will get to adult swim and there goes another of your favorite shows. Just don't b***h about it because it will happen. It's the circle of life.
