Soo, I just got back from seeing The Woman in Black. I enjoyed it, good story, good ending. There were two girls in front of me who wouldn't stop screaming at every little noise, but I liked it. If you went to see it, what'd you think?

Saw it, scary as ******** IMO.

Though when Arthur is creeping towards the nursery for the first time (When there's all that banging going on), I turned to my friend as said "Know what would be awesome? If instead of creeping all warily towards the door, he ran right at it and kicked the door in with a flying dropkick. The ghost would be on the other side, still setting up and be all '********! Go back and do it again, I wasn't ready!'."
I've read the original novel "The Woman in White" so I'm really curious to see how they spinned it! I'm definitely not expecting a really direct translation to film so I'm ready to go and be scared with an open mind. ^_^

BUT I'm waiting to go to a matinee during the week so I don't have to be surrounded by screaming and laughing teenagers. I really wish it wasn't PG-13! xd

I too got stuck in front of annoying preteens who squealed at every little thing.
As for the movie itself, it was alright.
Zombie/ghost children are spooky. I don't even know why.

I think it's a testament to how nerdy my sister and I are, because we sat through the whole movie whispering spells that would have come in handy.

That's exactly what me and my friend did the whole movie. Harry was totally using magic.
i left in the middle of it it was not that good
It was an okay movie. Seemed kinda anti-climatic to me.
My friend screamed at the beginning at the first 'scary' part, which made me laugh so much.
None of it scared me, but I'm rarely scared by horror movies.
The acting and setting were great though. The story was just kind of meh at the end.
I thought it was great all around. I haven't been scared by a horror flick in a while. I can sit through and not be scared at all by movies like Saw, Paranormal Activity, and The Ring and yet this one just made me nearly wet myself. xDDD I was a little sad at the end, but still good movie. No screaming teens at mine, either. A few people jumped here and there, and we were all laughing after each scary part because half the theater jumped lol. Went to see it by myself, but definitely still enjoyed it. ^^
But the ghost's relentlessness....at the end I was a little bit "b*tch please" in my thoughts. xD
It was fine. I thought most of the jump scares were predictable and cliche, but overall it was decent. I liked the look of most of the sets, and some of the scenes managed to genuinely disturb and unnerve me. I think that Daniel Radcliffe was completely miscast for it though.

I might have enjoyed it more if not for the five idiots sitting next to us that decided to narrate the entire ******** movie.
I hate how people these days can't tell the difference between predictability and suspense. Not only that, but it seems it's only horror movies that get s**t for that. No one seems to get pissed off when, say, Batman beats the Joker at the end of a Batman movie.

You go into a horror movie, predict that it's going to feature scary moments, and...that's a bad thing?

Here's a real unpredictable horror movie scenario: a horror movie that... ninja ...doesn't actually make any effort to scare you and everything is basically just normal.

In all seriousness, I enjoyed The Woman In Black. It was an old school Gothic Horror ghost story, the likes of which we never really see anymore. Sure, there were plenty of jump scares, but there was also a lot of creepy moments, and some terrifying non-jump scares, not to mention it was oozing atmosphere.

I absolutely adored this movie.
I was worried that it was going to be horrible. Because usually movies that advertise a lot are not good at all.
But this was definitely worth my money.

Needless to say, I know who I'm going to be for Halloween. :3
its okay ninja ninja
