That's exactly why I loved him! I loved the fact that he could have been considered clinically insane because of his antics which is also why I like the new, crazy Stefan. Well, except for when he punched Damon because of Elena. I don't know why but I just don't like her

So I read, or tried to read the books but they just didn't engage me. I found them extremely boring and at times... an over all poor read.

The television series though, wow, hit me like a transport truck! I fell in love almost instantly with all of the characters!

Are there any other fans out there like me? 3nodding


I do have a pet peeve though. I used to really like Damon- he was my favourite character but now since his love for Elana has given him a lot more character growth... I am not so much of a Damon fan anymore. Sure he is still sarcastic and a little bitter but the lovey dovey just does not suit him. In fact I am leaning towards Klaus being my new favourite.

I don't have a crush on him, I just like his somewhat "I'm a villain but at the same time I could careless" type personality

I feel he has a heart. He's lonely and he's sorry for what he does, and he hides it all. There are a lot of people in the show that hate him.

I agree that he's lonely, but I don't think he is necessarily sorry for what he's done. He looks out for number 1...himself. As Caroline identified "Your father never loved you so you don't expect anyone else to."
He's showing more vulnerabilities, but he is still the villain. That's what makes his character so amazing.

I LOVE Vampire Diaries. The female leads are so strong and all the episodes leave you sitting at the edge of your seat during and makes you anxious for it to come back during commercial breaks! The originals are awesome and omg I could go on and on!
