he voices my favorite character in one of my favorite video games.

Xigbar?
I finally watched the finale and it was terrible.

I'm just gonna pretend like s7 never even happened. T_T
Yeah, I don't think I'll be revisiting S7 episodes any time soon.
Time After Time and Plucky's will probably make it to my re-watch list someday, but meh.
I won't be buying the DVDs.

I thought the ending was pretty good, at least it opened up the prospect of purgatory to season 8. Sam and Dean are finally separated (at long last) and can undergo some character development by themselves, and now Sam's not just a hunter - he has a quest to kill the remaining Levis. I thought it was pretty good, although d**k making Polly strip was just plain weird.

What did you not like about it?

i like the idea of dean and cas being stuck in purgatory -- but i found the whole leviathan arc to be very boring. i just didn't find them threatening, there was no urgency to the finale like there had been in other seasons. it just felt like it was slapped together really fast. also, the recap was so very poorly edited, it made me cringe. it looked like a fan video.

plus cas has been so OOC these past few episodes. i hate it.

people keep saying "the remaining leviathans." they said "cut off the head and the body will flounder" which i assumed meant-- if you kill the leader, the rest automatically die.

Personally I think Edlund took the idea of crazy!Cas a little deeper than Gamble did. Take the board games for example, when Cas tried to get Dean to play Sorry, he was conveying a message to Dean. He was apologising when he held up the board game (obviously), and when he told Dean "it's your turn to move" he's telling Dean that he has apologised enough, it's Dean's turn. When he said "You have to go back to the start", he's telling Dean that they can start from scratch and leave the old grudges behind. At least, that's what I interpreted. When Gamble threw in Twister, that looked to me to be a regular board game with no significance, so it seemed to me as if she couldn't grasp Edlund's meanings behind the motives. As well as that, Misha confirmed that crazy!Cas is the way he is because he's trying to suppress the guilt he was feeling, but turning away from conflict and abruptly changing the topic every time any of his past actions were brought up. It seemed that he was back in his old self in Purgatory though.

Personally I liked the leviathans because for once, we have a villain who's smart and knows what he's doing. I was a bit disappointed that d**k was killed so soon, but who knows, they might see him in purgatory.

As for "cut off the head and the body will flounder", the rest of the levis are still alive, as confirmed by Crowley in the finale. However, he did say that the levis have only had one leader since the beginning of time, and without d**k they would be lost and be just regular monsters - or in a sense, "flounder".

i don't care who did it, i hate it either way.

i heard the argument about the guilt and about the metaphors, and i still hate it. it doesn't make any sense to me that cas would act that way.

a villain who is smart? how about crowley? if he's not the big bad in s8, then i don't know.

but the fact that they only killed one, well, that's pretty stupid and sucky. ugh, this show.
i am starting to wish it had ended in s5. kripke didn't want to keep going, and without him it hasn't been the same.

Crowley is friggin awesome, I hope he gets more screen time in season 8. Mark Sheppard did hint that Crowley's not a demon though...hope we find out more in season 8. Although Mark has been known to mess with people so there's no way of knowing how much of his claim is true.

Carver's returning as showrunner, and with Edlund writing more episodes next season, coupled with a good cliffhanger, season 8 looks like it's going to be good. At least Gamble won't be around to ruin the show with her shallow writing anymore >_>
ugh I'm sorry but all the men writing the show are such queer-baiters that I'm really not looking forward to Carver being showrunner and Edlund being second-in-command.

I personally adore crazy Cas 'cause he's hysterical. I mean, yeah he's not the old Castiel we know and love but how could he be? You all saw what happened to Sam as his visions of Lucifer started intensifying, right? There's no way that wouldn't have effected how Cas was. I think it's hysterical the way that they made his crazy. At least he's not going around killing people.

I think his being unwilling to really fight is true to form. I mean, he went all nutso at the end of season six and the beginning of season seven and slaughtered a whole bunch of people. It wasn't a very Cas type of thing to do and now he's realizing what he's done and is showing remorse.

Plus, the brothers are going to try and get him back to the way he was.

The Leviathan arc hasn't been my favorite but I was really starting to like them towards the end. I sort of really hope that they bring back Gabriel like has been hinted at.

As for season eight, I'm sort of anticipating it more than I was season six and seven. It feels like it's moving more towards old Supernatural versus the way it has been these past two seasons.
