Perhaps this goes to show how off my rocker I am, but whenever I watch/see a screencap of the scene where Sam and Dean hug at the end of Mystery Spot (the last square of that photo collage) I wonder how cold Jensen's ear was on Jared's face.

I thought Sera Gamble is leaving, and Jimmy Carver was going to start doing the writing? I wonder how they are going to end this leviathan thing. If anything, the eighth season would have to be last. I hated how shows go on and they bring in horrible irrelevant characters into the story. I like Cas. Why all the hate? sad I definitely think that if the show is going to take a new step then there has to be a lot of rewriting and reworking...and no one is ever happy with that...so I don't know how much more they can drag the story...

I feel that a lot of reworking is needed to keep the show alive.
Let's hope said reworking 1) pulls the show back from the edge of cancellation and 2) promotes its longevity.
In theory, I'd love to see SPN take it further than 8 seasons, but no way in hell will it be likable or even happen if they continue like they have been.

This was actually the first episode I had seen live since Bobby died... works been getting in the way, but I thought it was pretty good, pacifist, stoner Castiel was hilarious. Sadly, I don't think the Metatron thing will be explored at all, that could have been interesting since in mythology he once was a human, Enoch, who became an angel. Also, can't forget Sam mistaken him for Megatron! And in the preview for next week, did that look like the Alpha Vamp to anyone else?

Oh, my mistake. Thanks for the correction. Yeah, I didn't think the episode was that bad, but it is still predictable. I think with the episodes in previous, more successful seasons...the events occurred more sporadically. It wasn't defined by the simplistic plot twists and turns. I felt like it went all wrong when they tried to make Castiel GOD...They need to rework it from there...and Crowley hasn't made much of an appearance, so I bet they are planning to make him the big bad guy in the next season and bring back the demons and angels theme.

Bring back demons by the boatload for all I care, but the angels have had their fair share of screen time.
How much more can you do with them?

I understand why *spoilers* there were angels in tonight's episode, it made sense with the tablet needing a keeper/prophet, but let's just leave angels in the past from now on, shall we?

So I'm not completely upset about the episode... It was quite good, plot and pacing wise, but...

The reason I grew to hate Castiel was because the writers turned him into a mouthpiece for exposition and comic relief. And that's pretty much all he was in this episode. The only scene I really enjoyed with him in it was when he and Dean were playing Sorry. It had nothing to do with anything and it was just Dean getting s**t off his chest about how badly Cas ******** up. It was real and relevant. Then they had to ruin it by turning Cas into a retard.

I did like the line about the racing dogs though. The "thinking in ovals" thing totally got a belly laugh out of me.

Meg however was just ******** perfect. Seriously. I'm shocked, since normally I'm neutral on her presence. And hooray for Asians! Kevin Tran was just a delight to watch! I could stand to watch another episode with him in it! Especially with that ending!

Well, that was a bit of a non-starter.
It would have been nice for Hester to be around for longer. Then Meg, Cas and Sam/Dean would have had their own... demons to battle.

I don't know how I feel about the episode. There wasn't much of a storyline to give a s**t about, frankly. I didn't feel much danger, excitement or impression on any character, old or new.
