I used to collect POTO singles once upon a time, but I think the Nightwish version is still my favorite of all of them.

If you're hunting through pop or rock renditions, I doubt you will ever find anything satisfactory, Muz. x) I particularly do not suggest the Theatre of Tragedy version!

I don't much like the Nightwish version myself. Tarja is really good as Christine, but Erik (whoever he is) does not have a raspy metal voice.

Johanna is a Christine more than a Meg, without question. I've always seen the Johanna/Anthony dynamic being almost identical to Raoul/Christine because of the purity and innocence they represent--particularly with the Judge leering after her and wanting to marry her--and Anthony coming to save her~ whee
