Oh it gets worst the Annoying orange will be on CN. I don't like where this is gonna. The s**t from youtube is spilling onto the airwaves nothing good will come of this. NOTHING. What's funny for 2-10mins isn't funny for a full 22-24 mins. Hell might not even be funny jumping from new tech to old tech.

I wish he would have kept true to the statement that he made awhile ago about not playing Fred for much longer since he thought he was getting too old for it.. because he's absolutely right. It was at least giggle worthy back when he started on youtube, but now that he's older it just looks and feels... awkward, not funny.

He probably could have continued on youtube or even Tv playing a different character with an "older" sense of humor. I mean, whatever though. Kid's making bank so I guess it's working for 'em.

He does have talent and I agree that he needs to do something along the lines of maybe a sitcom or something else. But for him to take up a 30 min slot for something like that- you know that really hurts alot of the actors/voice artists out here.

Particularly with me going on with my series next year, there is a worry that a slot wont be open and im curious as to how long he had to wait before he got his- Because I had to wait 3 years for an answer and even then im not guaranteed the spot.

Mhm, I agree he's wasting talent playing Fred and 30 minutes of Fred is too much. I mean, the whole joke is that he talks fast and high pitched. I saw the episode of iCarly he was on and he was pretty funny playing himself instead of Fred.

I don't think he had to wait much. Nickelodeon just kinda picked up Fred and ran with it.After the 2 movies, featuring him on other shows, and all the merch they're selling, I'm sure it was a no brainer to them to start a show.

EDIT: After all, Nick has a tendency to take movies and turn them into shows -_- Kung Fu Panda, Fred, The Penguins of Madagascar, ect

His popularity stems from his facial expressions, high-pitched voice, and absurd movements. Now, normally if you saw someone acting out this behavior, you'd probably call the police. (Or deal with it in some other...messy way)


Of course these things aren't funny, but some people have an easily appeased sense of humor. The same people who find the words "p***s" or "duty" TO BE HILARIOUS!!1!!1!1!!!!!1! XDDDD

Tim: Hey Tom, guess what.

Tom: What is it?

Tim: YOUR FACE IS A p***s

Tom: LOL!!1!!!

Be aware, some of you reading that could be used as a substitute for Tom and Tim.


Anyway, it's just absurd and off-the-wall humor. Probably the most difficult part is editing his voice or choreographing his movements. (Both of which would actually be simple.)

To be honest, I hadn't heard anything about Fred for a while now, so I just assumed that he stopped making content. I heard about the movies, but I thought that was going to be the end of it. But now they're going to make a television series?

Okay, movies are fine. That's manageable. But I feel like they should have just stopped there. Fred is better suited as a web series, not a TV series. I just don't see how they can pull it off.

And I agree that the guy who plays Fred should just retire the character and move on to something more mature. He has his name out there, so I'm sure he could get an acting role somewhere if he wanted to. I saw him on iCarly, and he really wasn't that bad of an actor. At least I didn't think so.

I remember seeing one of his videos on youtube where he couldn't find his pills. That made me laugh. Then I realized there was a lot more...
I saw a movie too on Netflix.
I think producers are just hoping familiarity will make them money. Bad ploy.

I find Fred to be really creepy and weird. Never liked it, my brother watched it and got me really annoyed :I Now I don't watch TV xd sweatdrop
