If there was a movie of a book you haven't read but found interesting which would you first read the book then watch the movie or watch the movie then read the book? And what books should be made into movies you can think of?

Most the time I read the book before I watch the movie but on special cases that are movies that are must sees I watch the movie then read the book but very rarely. Theres a whole bunch of books that should've been made into movies but its too long of a list to post.

I wish they would actually make a good "Alice in Wonderland" movie.
The older one with whoopie as the cheshire cat was awful and I'm sure Tim Burton's will be way too gothy and sucky.

It's very hard to say.. because I like reading the book first that way you can imagine what your reading looks like in your head because if you watch the movie first then you'll just be picturing the movie in your mind when you're reading. But, when you read the book first and then watch the movie, because you have an idea of what this movie looks like in your head and it's completely different when you watch it, it can be pretty disappointing.

I really believe books are ALWAYS better than movies.

Of course my favorite movie was based off of a book (LotR), so I'm happy with those kind of movies.

I guess it just all depends. I'm reading The Kite Runner and I don't want to see the movie before I finish it but I saw every Pride and Prejudice movie before I read the book.

I agree! But some times the movies can be better then the book. Like I had no clue what was going on in the book Bridge to Teribithea, and when I saw the movie it all made sence....although I must say I hate both!

I usually like reading the books first and then seeing the moive, but i tried that w/ lord of the rings.....that didn't work.....
I know everyone really likes thoughs books and ppl r probly going 2 hate me for this, but... i didn't like the lord of the rings books! I found them to be long and boring.
