They are not. They wanted to start other projects.

So they say for now. There's a petition that's apparently getting big for more avatar. One of the people backing it is the voice of Kuvira, Zelda Williams. I'm hopeful. It would of course be awesome to see what other stories the creators of avatar would come up with unrelated to avatar. I at least hope they make comics of Korra like they have been doing to follow up Last Airbender.
