And Star ships look like mountain yaks, and lightsabers and vibro blades look the same as katanas. where as star trek is a rip off of nothing, but the engine sound is oober annoying. (Oh, and he can TOTALY KICK LUKE SKYWALKERS a**!!!!!!) xd Now, would he be kicking a** before his wig falls off and Luke's lightsaber turns him into a Picasso, or after? mrgreen But honestly, I love both. I grew up watching The Next Generation reruns on the WB, and my parents passed on the Trilogy; I watched Empire almost every time I was being watched by my grandmother, and saw the special edition trilogy, the prequel movies, and The Clone Wars in theatres with my family. Star Wars is amazing because the films are an achievement, a modern epic saga. The Expanded Universe adds so much depth to the saga, helping us understand the fantastic setting of the tales. Star Trek is great because it shows us a future world that isn't perfect, but still has courageous people willing to fight to see good in the stars. I never was a big fan of the original series, but the Next Generation is a beautiful series that everyone should experience. I agree, I love both too. I do however like star wars more. I fell in love with the way the galaxy is differnt from system to system and there is very little understanding of each other between them. |

FatesMyBitch What kind of world is this where we must choose? I love both. But only the originals. Star Trek with Kirk and Spock and Tribbles. Star Wars with Han Solo and Leia. -sigh- The new ones suck. I'm honestly afraid to see the Star Trek movie. I don't want to have y love of Star Trek killed like the DBZ fans had their love killed by the live action DBZ movie. Don't go off the subject. And the DBZ love wasn't killed by the Live action "Dragon Ball Evolution" movie, it was good. I was surprised how well they did, I had expected something more classic with bright filters and really colorful. Some of the character cuts disappointed me however, the loose basis of the movie was similar to the loose sequel to The Wizard of Oz, "Return to Oz". However honestly the Star Trek movie can't be any worse than Enterprise, who the hell's idea was it to put Scott Bakula as a Federation captain? I mean where they huffing ether or something? I watched Quantum leap for Dean Stockwell's performance no Scott Crapula's. No there are a lot of debates about all series and everyone likes and dislikes all sorts of thing. but this quote post from me will be the last time this thread goes off the beaten track because we can beat each other to death about super sayans versus super man but it wont answer any questions about which we like more, Star Wars or Star Trek. |
