3-D is an awesome gimmick to be used, but when it comes to this stuff, just no.
I know Lucas is probably wanting to cash in on the whole 3-D gimmick, but really? Did you have to do it with THIS?
If having to come out with so many different versions of ALL the film to show neat little goodies that were "Lost scenes" or some goofy concept and THEN have to jump on the 3-D bandwagon? Come on, Lucas! You already have enough money from every single one of those films and the expanded universe (Please correct me if I'm wrong on this)

I really don't care about the price, or how lucas gains money for this film but all I'm excited again is to watch it again on the big screen and bring back the memories when I was still a kid watching it.

If you don't like it don't watch it. Or choose between 3D and non-3D. No matter what Lucas does to the series, you can always still watch them as they where originally released. Nothing going to change that.

Unless Lucas gets a clone army to go around the world, burning every non-3D, non-edited version of the films.

At first I was outraged by what The Clone Wars did to Mandalorians and Mandalore.
But then i thought; 'Screw this, Karen Traviss' books are still there to read whenever I want, and I'm not going to let some mediocre TV series ruin them for me.

The only problem I have with this is that they weren't filmed in 3D...they are doing that 3D post process stuff and it just doesn't look good in the end...

I went with a friend to see it in 3-D. It wasn't too shabby. Some things didn't pop out as much as I had hoped, but the pod race was good, and so was the final battle. And Jar Jar's tongue lol

Besides, I never got the chance to see ANY of them in theaters, not even the prequels. So it's a completely new experience for me. Plus, like others said, new generation of Star Wars fans, because one boy in the audience had his friend who had never seen Star Wars come with him, and I could hear the friend not shutting up about how awesome it was. So that's a good thing.
