I am still with my first love.

I had held out for someone special for a long time ('til I was 21!) even though there were guys I could have pursued before then. I never connected with anyone... and then on a whim last year, I flew from my home state of Michigan to visit some friends in Boulder, Colorado who were spending the summer there.

Ragnar, Jorgen, and Monica are all siblings and I had known all of them for a few years. They are originally from the same area in Michigan as I, and were also home-schooled, growing up. Monica and Jorgen (the twins) were 23, and Ragnar was 21 like me.

After a really fun week of rock-climbing, hiking, and white water rafting, Ragnar asked if I wanted to go to the Steve Miller Band concert out at Red Rocks. I honestly didn't know it was a date until the day of... I was so clueless! x3 And he was way to polite to make a move until about halfway through the concert, when he finally got the courage to put his arm around my shoulders. We had two days together as a couple before I had to fly back home.

Two weeks later (the longest two weeks of my life), he finished his summer job and came back to Michigan for college.

He's such a sweety. We've been together for almost a year now, and I've never been happier. He was entirely worth waiting for, and I couldn't have hoped to be with someone so caring.

Now I have moved to Boulder for the summer, and we're living together. For our one year anniversary, we're going to see Journey and Heart at the same place we had our first date!
