Alright, so I'm sure most of you have seen commercials for this movie. The guy flying into the camera, etc. Well, I just saw it tonight and was satisfied with it. It wasn't bad, but it was kinda slow and boring at parts. But when things kicked up, your heart will definitely start rushing. This movie is not a "pop-up scare" type movie. (example, stare at the screen for 10 seconds and a scary face suddenly pops up) It's more of a "omg what made that noise and how did that happen" kind of movie.

If anyone is blowing this movie off and saying it's not worth your $8 or $6, DON'T ignore it! It is worth the money and time. The amount of time when you're heart fills with fear is really worth it.

Just to clear this question up, cause I've seen and heard a lot of people asking it, yes, the scenes are staged. That is not real footage. I need to do some research though to see if it was based off of true events.

Here's a funny little story that happened while I was watching the movie. The power to the entire mall, theaters, etc. went out for about 45 minutes cause of...drizzling rain... Lol, weird. But yeah, it scared the living hell out of everyone. XD

I watched the movie the other evening, and I was disappointed. It didn't scare me, make me flinch, or make my heart race.

Granted the ending was pretty cool, the best part of the movie. Do I expect too much out of horror movies today?]

I disagree. the movie was very slow, the characters were annoying (I can't decide who was more annoying, the girl who did nothing but be terrified throughout the entire movie or the douchebag boyfriend who did nothing but be skeptical throughout the entire movie)

every good scene you got to see in the previews. the only thing you didn't see was their monotonous monologues so save your money. stare

I have to agree with the OP that this movie was worth it. I just got back from seeing it and its going to be bothering me for a few days. I also think it depends on if you believe in the paranormal or not and if something like this could happen. It was a little boring in the beginning and the boyfriend pissed me off but the last 20 minutes were awesome I could barely look at the screen it was so intense lol. ninja

I enjoyed it and found the characters to be very authentic and likeable. For those that do believe in the paranormal, who've experienced such things or have listened grown up hearing such tales from their loved ones, it's haunting. Many times, I caught myself twinging inside, remembering, like they pulled that very scene from my memories. I loved it.

I don't think it was anything mindblowing but it was certainly decent.

Warning to those prone to motion sickness - it's one of those jittery camera movies.

I haven't seen it yet, but a friend of mine said she had to leave the theatre and listen to it outside because the camera work was making her nauseous.

I wish I didn't pay the admission for that movie.

It was silly. Not to mention it was not scary.

I've heard people saying that they couldn't sleep after seeing it, and I slept for almost 11 hours that night. It really isn't very good of a movie, but I guess you'd have to be a real female genitalia to be seriously scared of it. confused

They were both annoyingly persistent in doing things that were absolutely WRONG. They both had actual evidence that the girl needed some help and instead of going to a HOSPITAL or doing everything they could to seek spiritual help they both persisted in staying in the house. I can't count how many times I wished there was a serial predator hiding in the walls to just pop out and eat them already. stare
