Welcome to Gaia! ::

Last night I watched two movies. And the night before I saw something in theatres.

I watched Elizabeth (the prequel to Elizabeth: The Golden Age)
It was pretty fantastic. Cate Blanchett looked so young in the beginning, and you could see how her look matured through the rest of the movie.
I can't wait to see Golden Age.

Then afterwards, I watched Titanic.
As always, a BIG TIME tearjerker. Especially the part where Old Rose dies in her sleep, and she goes back to the Titanic and is greeted in the Great Hall by all the people who died. Including Jack.
I SOB every time.

And the night before I saw "The Other Boleyn Girl"
********. I was sobbing at the part where Anne's brother George gets his head chopped off (OMG HISTORICAL SPOILERS) and I kept crying until the movie was over.

I love movies.
30 Days of Night: 5/10

Little Miss Sunshine...I'd rate it like...11/10. It's just that good. heart
Diary of the Dead was the last film I saw. I'm a big fan of zombie films, especially ones made by Romero. It was an interesting take on a zombie film and did the whole POV camera thing that is featured in Blair Witch and Cloverfield though is used in a more documentary style. It went back to the whole feel Romero used to do with his films and yet surprised me with being completely different than what I'd expect from him. It was all in all a pretty damn good film. If you get motion sick though I suggest saving seeing it for the small screen. I got a nasty headache from it but it was worth it.

The basis of the story is about some college film students who are in the process of making a horror movie for a project with their professor when they hear some gruesome news of the dead coming back to life. The story is shot as a documentary more or less from the eyes of the film students showing their travel and what all they encounter. It has a really lash against the media feel for all the s**t they hide from us.

I highly recommend this to anyone who is a zombie film lover, likes Romero's stuff, and likes a different more raw take on things.

I'll give it 7 out of 10 stars.
Akeelah and the Bee
I watched the extended versions of all the Lord of the Rings films last night, for like the bizillionth time. I love those movies!!!
