Its because in most renditions after the original marvel comic book he was referred to as just Snake Eyes with no hyphen.

I'm fairly new to the whole franchise, but I say Snake Eyes is my favorite. I think Storm Shadow comes second after seeing the movie. ^_^

@Giddget: 'Twas a very decent movie. It was a bit predictable, but it was entertaining and exciting. I enjoyed!
