Borg vs. Daleks who would win

If the Borg and the Daleks were to fight, who would win/.

I chose Dalek over Borg because of the same reason they are superior to Cybermen... The Doctor has yet to kill and or move all of them to a different diension in which they do not leave (unless some stupid English scientists at Torchwood, if I remember correctly, pull a switch that allows them to).

Oh boy. Well. This is an incredibly geeky question.

The Daleks have the advantage of being the ultimate killers, while the Borg are the ultimate adaptors.
Could a Dalek beam pierce a Borg shield--particularly after they learn to adapt to it?
Inversely, could the Borg assimilate the Daleks through their casings?

Let's assume yes to both.
The Daleks could swarm the Borg with sheer numbers and killing rage, but the Borg could, just as easily, assimilate the Daleks to create Dalek-Borg--a truly terrifying prospect. I think that the Dalek-Borg would be superior to both and would wipe them all out.
Winner: Both lose.

Let's assume no to both.
We hit a standoff. The Daleks can't use their killer beam to attack the Borg, and the Borg can't assimilate the Daleks. Either they make a truce of some sort (doubted, knowing the Daleks) or they just sort of ignore each other. OR, and the most likely option, they start figuring out ways to kill each other--and by they, I mean the Daleks. They're clever bastards, and could probably sabotage all sorts of things on a Borg cube.
The Borg will assimilate and if they can't, then they will flee.
Winner: Daleks.

Now let's assume one thing works. If the Daleks can shoot the Borg but the Borg can't assimilate, the Daleks win. If the Daleks can't shoot the Borg but the Borg can assimilate, the Borg win.

The Daleks would just make the Borg into a new race of Dalek and then destroy them through Genecide when they realise that The Doctor had been above the Dlekanium on the lightning rod. What was that episode called? It was brilliant!

I don't watch Star Trek so I don't know what a Borg is exactly, though perhaps I should jump on this bandwagon and start watching it.

But anyways, I'd still go for Daleks. Their will to survive and ability to do so is incredible. And the fact that they scream "EXTERMINATE" all the time gives them major cool points.

Hmm. As a Trekkie, I instantly yell `BORG!`...

But, the Daleks keep coming...the Borg adapt. They lose one drone, the collective instantly knows to modulate their shields to that frequency (Oh god, nerd moment). So, The Daleks are only gonna get a few shots in.

From what i know, the Daleks shoot you, you're dead. The Borg assimilate you and you join their ranks.

So, by conquering the galaxy, the Borg get stronger, but the Daleks...stay the same?

But knowing the Borg queens...if they could talk to a Dalek (Davros?) they would probably form their own collective together.

*shudders in terror* assimilated Daleks...
