As a lover of both Avengers and Star Wars I'm going to have to go with avengers. Iron man got me into comic books and generally made me the nerd i am for tech. Though Boba Fett vs Iron man be kick a**.

Maybe I misunderstood the video. I thought we were talking the original movie Star Wars vs. this new Avengers movie? I will return after I have seen the Avengers movie. As for the rest... George Lucas did go from visionary to crackpot, but Marvel is guilty of far greater crimes as far as ruining stories goes. Also, George Lucas paved the way for these kinds of movies. Without seeing the new movie, I would say Star Wars. I would choose the original movie, alone, over every marvel movie made thus far.

Except people need to keep in mind they are referring to the movies.

Lets face it Star Wars has been elevated to the status as a part of American Culture while sure Avengers is one awesome comic. Though most if not all Comic movies have been flops sure some are entertaining, but face it they just fall short of what alot of fans expect.

So I'd definitely say this is clearly going to be Star Wars victory.

I actually had to think about this one. I agree with a lot of people that Jar-jar was just horrid, and I don't really consider myself a die hard Star Wars fan (trek>wars), but...

I really didn't like the hulk, I didn't really like Captain America. I was pleasantly surprised to like Ironman, and despite some rather cringe worthy flaws, I like Thor (and Loki!). I think the Avengers struggles with the fact that there are SO many recent movies (some good some horrible) that were based on comics, where Star Wars (in my mind at least) stands alone.

I know this is mainly about the movies, but movies spin off into other things. I have played several games based on Star Wars, and a few superhero ones (nothing based on any of the Avengers characters), and I really don't get into superhero games.

Plus...light sabers are cool smile
