I'm wondering what the difference is between all types of these electronic music. I once heard that techno was a spacy type of music while trance was of course "dreamy hypnosis" music. I don't need a history background check, but you're free to post it if you'd like. But I'm now wonder what the difference is. Please help!

Trance: music that's pretty easy to make, but has an anthemy quality
Hard Trance: um, harder trance?
Technopop: anything from kraftwerk, spock and aqua to beborn beton...
basically catchy synthpop
Darkwave: electronic goth
EBM: trance with an industrial feel and vocals
D&B: doo kackt, do do do kackt...repeat for 5 hours
Synthpop: pretty much technopop, tho less mainstreamy sounding
House: originated in the early 80's in detroit, anything from sped up r&b with breaks to europop /modern disco
Industrial: Its now called EBM, but industrial some would say can be anything from Skinny Puppy and Rammstein to Wumpscut and Hocico
Electronica: the mainstream word for techno pretty much...originated in 1996 by the media, coined for prodigy, cyrstal method, etc.
Electro: As far back as 94, this is what wumpscut, haujobb, etc was called
just another word for industrial
