Yay, responding to everyone at once... Gaia needs a collapse feature.
Anyway, jist of this is I went back in and did another pass over that last track.
GlassBox - Eighty Percent (Mix 2)
Jono Blue
No problem. By the way, that's the first D&B song I've ever listened to without seeing green or blue colors. Yours has a purple color. I have synaesthesia.
o_O i had that once... totally different situation though...

I wonder if it has anything to do with the uhh... key, I guess. i found when trying to set up properly matched key'd tracks for mixing, most dnb sat in sort of the same range. Especially the techier stuff.

The first synth is nice, but boring after a while, especially since it's the only non-percussive synth for like the first minute.
Might want to high-pass the second synth a bit to help it blend more, and lower the volume. Also be careful with the delay; you're getting chords from overlapping notes. Maybe sidechain the delay against the original signal so that it doesn't play when you have new notes?
3nodding yup yup. ended up re-writing the second synth completely. I fixed the delay overlap by automating the wet/dry out between notes. Sidechain the echo... madness. It hurts my brain just thinking about how to do that.

1. Layer the amen a bit? I like the little chopped glitch for the transition but I would pass it through some distortion, a bit of eq maybe?
2. Really chill. First minute becomes boring though. The notes do bleed over. Be careful not to have it sound like a cacophany of beautiful sine waves.
3. Bass could be lifted higher in the mix, @ the 2:08 mark it could use more smaple chopping maybe? Maybe a delay on the bass while filtering it out?
4. I love how it comes back, not so sure about those "uuugggmm" sounding stabs.
5. Maybe throw some more samples of speech, maybe piano?
Still working on some of these. i'm finding it tough to do the bass, as i dont have proper low end in my setup. This is all mostly done on headphones.
sad
I need to drop like a grand on monitors. NEED TO. First world problems.

******** yes love the song and consider this ^
Actually consider everything he says but I would love to hear piano notes there
The atmosphere in the song is so chill but it does get kind of repetitive
I'm thinking more speech from that stupid meme i sampled, or maybe a call / response from synth to piano. The synth line gets pretty repetitive, it'd be a good switch up.
Thanks for all the feedback
