Because Square Enix reeeeaally likes money. So when Microsoft approached them with bags full of money begging them to have it as an exclusive on their console (to hopefully boost sales of this...questionable console), they couldn't refuse the offer. That way Square gets more money for game development and Microsoft gets an exclusive.

I'm assuming that Square Enix is trying to cash in on as much as they can.

They might as well make a PS4 exclusive since everyone refuses to by the XboxOne now
