In case you haven't heard, Private Eye has been claiming that Doctor Who is heading toward a 2012 mid-season hiatus, that the new season this season is going to end halfway (how last season did) and go directly into hiatus, rather then begin filming the second half.

I for one think it's a load.

Moffat was quoted here saying he doesn't know if it will or it won't in an elaborated format, but with so many fans taking it a thousand different ways, I wanted to see what your take on it was.
Personally, I wouldn't read too much into this. The BBC dicks about with scheduling all the time, and pretty much nothing is truly sacred with those guys. BUT Dr Who is considered to be pretty much the "flagship" show of Saturday nights (sort of sharing it with the all too brief Sherlock, Merlin and God help us, Robin Hood), so they will have plans.

They may be trying to do a part one before the Olympics, part two after???

Whatever happens, will happen.

That article is from last Summer. Season seven begins in Autumn, with the second half showing in early 2013. This has been known for months now.

Dear Dog

Doctor Who has gaps now and then anyway. He will be back, eventually..
