I love the Ninth Doctor, since he was my first Doctor!
But I do like 10 and 11 too. And 12, I think he's awesome too (even though I haven't seen the first episode of Season 8 yet, which I think it will take forever for BBC HD or BBC Entertainment to fix)
Capaldi takes the cake (I know that's a lot to say, considering there's only one episode out), Eccleston is probably my 2nd favorite.

I just prefer darker doctors.

honestly some of the old ones are my favorites because without them, the actors who played the doctor later on would never have been into it in the first place. i.e. David Tennant- his doctor was Tom Baker (4)

My obsession with "Doctor Who" started this christmas break for me. But with the help of Netflix, I finished all of the episodes (New Who). The Ninth Doctor was my first AND favourite until David Tennant's Tenth Doctor blew me away. As soon as he flashed that famous smile of his and said, "Did you miss me?", I was and FOREVER hooked! Russell T. Davies has a gift for seamlessly mixing high concentration of emotions and adventure with a dash of humor. I was heart broken when The Doctor regenerated and stopped watching for a while. The Tenth Doctor is my #1 favourite Doctor, with the Ninth Doctor as a close second and the Eleventh as my third. I have nothing against Matt Smith or his acting BUT I just don't like the childishness and contradictory aspects of The Doctor. If the Tenth Doctor hates salutes, the Eleventh Doctor loves them, "Allonsy", "Geronimo", etc. But after watching Matt Smith's era for the second time, I can honestly say that those episodes have taken me on a emotional rollercoster! Moffat is an amazing writer and I can't wait to see "Deep Breath" in the movie theatres this Saturday. I just hope they will be less plot holes, gimmicks, and flirting. Only one could hope! Keep Calm and Love Doctor Who! 3nodding :
David Tennant Hands down !
