Easter Event Eggs Fixed... Mostly

Eggs should work everywhere now except the Shops. Working on it though.

Event Stabilized & Event Credit

Hey guys,

The Easter Event is in full swing, and we've finally gotten all the majors glitches that we're aware of cleaned up!

The event team is really glad to bring back a classically flavored event (with some huge challenges to reach the end). I'm getting mentioned a lot in the forums, but as far as development goes, this time the main developer on the project was ramoneguru. And as usual, the event couldn't happen without the help of the rest of the Event Team including artists, UI folks, writers, product managers, customer service/mods, and yours truly, of course. I encourage them to take credit for their contributions biggrin

Easter Event End Time

For those of you who were wondering (and no, I have no idea why this wasn't in the announcement) but the egg-hunting portion of the Easter Event will end at 11:59 PM on Wednesday night, Pacific Standard Time.

Easter Event Redux Hiccup

Some of you may have noticed that the Easter Event was re-enabled for a split second. This was an error on our part due to how close "easter2009" and "earthday2009" look in a database rofl

Last Day for the S.O.S. mini-event

The S.O.S mini-event will be ending Wednesday 4/29 before noon (Pacific Time). The top donators for each shop and anyone who has donated at least 1 million gold to a shop will get a special thank you from the NPCs once the event is over.

As for the shops that don't make it....well, they may or may not be around on Thursday....

Some of you may have noticed a nice shiny new title next to your name in the forums, never fear! for it is part of the event, the details of which I leave to all of you to figure out.

School Survival Event: Facebook Feeds reduced

We noticed uses who frequented the event story thread were being spammed with Facebook connect feeds burning_eyes I've gone ahead and made changes so you won't get more than 1 feed a day for viewing the event story thread.

Out of 10 titles here are the ones unlocked so far:
Hooky Team Captain
Truant
Underachiever
C-Student
Honor Roller

the gap between C-Student and Honor Roller is the largest of all the titles except for the last 3 titles, and of course the gap for the top ranking title is the highest of them all!

School Survival Event: Item Grant Facebook Feed Added

Wanted to let everyone know we added a Facebook feed for when you are granted an event item. So for those not keeping track, you will get 1 feed per day for each of the following
A) clicking the "Here" button on the event page
B) looking at the guides
C) when you are granted an event item

So 3 feeds a day max for participating in the event.

Out of 10 titles here are the ones unlocked so far:
Hooky Team Captain
Truant
Underachiever
C-Student
Honor Roller
Teacher's Pet
c** Laude
Magna c** Laude
Summa c** Laude

I also made a spelling correction to one of the event titles. There's only 1 title left and 2 weeks remaining for this event so keep going!

Later this week we should have another guide ready to go, so be sure to be on the lookout for it! biggrin

School Survival Guide: End Game

Hey everyone, today is the last day of the School Survival Guide event. Be sure to get those last minutes survival ideas posted before the event forums are locked for all eternity!

Also remember that at the stroke of midnight tonight (PDT) the magic of the forum titles you have earned will disappear. crying ...Take screenies while you can!

Trick or Treating (Towns & Shops)

We will be launching this shortly, you may experience errors while we get it set up.

Towns and shops appear to be stable, if you do run into any wierd errors please post them in the Bug Reports & Technical Support forum.

We hope to launch the main event shortly.

Towns appears not to be granting, looking in to it!

We're still working on the main event, a series of unfortunate events is keeping us from getting this out but we're determined! >.<

Update 2:10
Lots of bugs fixed including the Towns bug above where users have to wait a while before they can turn in their items to Jack. These fixes will be pushed shortly. The main event has started rolling out, by now most of you should be able to get in but those that can't don't worry, you will soon.

Xmas 2k9: Many fixes later...

Hi everyone, a new day! Our events team has been hard at work fixing bugs to the wee hours of the morning. The number of users allowed into the event at the moment is small but as the day progresses and we verify our fixes are holding, we'll let more people in.
