So, this is what I came up with so far:

Clearly, the original design is the black red and gray one.
I just added the other colors for variation.

Based slightly off of Tripp pants, with the contest theme incorporated.

Mm.. to be honest, I'm tired of all the dresses and one-sided gender-specific items. I'd rather design something that looks good and is neutral enough to not be gender-specific.

OMG, I like the pants~ I would make a ton of differnet outfits all with those pants, I loved how you have differnt colors so if i don't like 1 color there is a color i like!

biggrin Thanks! I figured the "lots of stitches" part of the contest theme would fit well with multiple scraps of fabric.

One of my inspirations was Alice's dress in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland that they made from curtains and random materials because she was too large to fit in a normal dress.
