I'm more into alt-country. The Old 97's are probably my favorite band. Some of their stuff is more pop/rock-ish, but their albums Hitchike to Rhome, Wreck Your Life, and Too Far to Care are quite twangy. Great albums too. Whiskeytown is great, Stranger's Almanac is a beautiful album. I'm starting to get into Uncle Tupelo, I really want to get their Anodyne album.
