Is not country.
I don't care what you say, we all have reasons for our opinions and mine is that most of her songs are about her and some boy or how she is a tomboy and how she is better then 'girly girls', that isn't country to me.

I'm proud of her. She writes her own songs and has won awards for it (the youngest to win such), and she learned how to play a 12 string guitar when she was 12. Maybe her stuff is tweeny and whimsical, but at least someone with more talent than looking hot in a skeezy outfit and singing someone else's words is finally getting recognition.

Yeah, she is impressive, but I would like it better if she didn't make all her songs about herself and, most of them, being love songs. It's kinda annoying to me that most female artists mostly write songs about break ups and all around things to do with love.

I think that Taylor Swift is awesome, some of her song don't seem country but who cares. She's a great singer and that is all that really matter. I think she sing love song more because that is a topic that mostly everyone can relate to.

A lot of her songs now are so popular that they make "remixes" of them and just turn them into pop songs because "no one" likes country.

Regardless, the lyrical content of the song doesn't categorize what genre the artist is in. Since when has music been like that?

I mean, the girl can play the guitar and piano beautifully, but she isn't country, and her voice isn't that good. Her first album (Taylor Swift, and not the one with the extra songs on it) and she does sing about the same thing, but that doesn't make her not country, the sound of her music does. And honestly, she doesn't deserve to win all of the COUNTRY awards that she did. Wasn't the MTV video of the year award for a POP song?? Exactly. she won it, so it obviously proves that no one cares that she wanted to be country. She WAS country, but all of the publicity of being a young artist, singing about everything that teens have problems with, made radio stations play pop remixes of her songs. And Idk, it must have been the publicity that made her music sound more pop.
