Welcome to Gaia! ::

Tsubasacon 2011 was my first.
I'm honestly glad I didn't attend until I was older, since I've been wanting to do so ever since I was a little snot. Distancing myself from the anime scene didn't lessen the experience, either. After reading and hearing about a lot of "horror stories" involving creepers, crazy fangirls, cosplay elitists, and rude people in general, I was honestly really scared, haha! When I arrived, however, all that melted away. Actually, everything did! I completely opened up and shed the shy, antisocial shell I had put up to survive. It was refreshing!

I was cosplaying a troll from Homestuck, and ended up meeting a really sweet gal who was cosplaying another troll, Karkat Vantas. She's really the only other person I've kept in good contact with, despite all the wonderful, wonderful people I met there.

Also, apparently someone thought I was going to be a huge b***h because I was cosplaying as Vriska Serket? They were surprised to find out the opposite, haha!

Anyhow, I also went my first rave that year, since the con was holding one. It was SO MUCH FUN, AHHH! It's a bit of a shame I got tired out so fast, but it was still tons of fun. <3

I look forward to attending again this year, as Cawlin from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

2007 Fanime
I was in awe and didn't know where to start. I didn't go to any panels and mostly wonder around the dealer hall and watch some movie. But then, just when it was getting good, my friend claimed he wasn't having any and decided (for the group) that we were going home. Clearly, I never went to a convention with him ever again. But I still go every year and don't plan on stopping blaugh
My first con was Taiyou Con 2011. It was really fun! I remember how my heart swelled with super excitement on the first day getting my badge. I thought t I was going to die when I saw this shop keeper dress as neo queen serenity, she was soooo pretty. I felt like such a geek for having a fan girl moment....I just stood there and stared! And I had to ask a bunch of people if I could take pictures of them and with them(especially the sailor scouts)...I felt like I was at disneyland...it was a really good weekend. The panels were so much fun and I really just had an amazing time geeking out. I ended up ditching my friends for most of the panels though because they wanted to go to different ones.

I cosplayed as Itachi Uchiha back in '09 for my first Expo/Con. I made several new friends in just one day! I was attacked with kunai by a Sasuke cosplayer and we've been friends ever since! I also got stalked by a Jigsaw cosplayer, glomped by an Axel...all in all it was a good day!

Connecticon 2009 was my first convention.

I was dressed as Temari, my sister was Hinata, and my best friend was Sakura all from Nauro Shippuden. We didn't have wigs or anything, just cosplays.

It was a lot of fun, but I was only 14 at the time so my mother insisted on fallowing me everywere. I have been to AT LEAST 30 conventions since then, and am a hardcore cosplayer! xD

However, I did got to a festival before that, called the Sakura Matsuri... But thats more to celebrate Japanese Traditions and Lifestyle... Not really anime.
Mtac 2010

My first con i went to so it was pretty cool. but i just go into anime and didnt really know how to act and just stood around with my sakura (naruto) cosplay that was to big for mi and the crapyist shortist pink wig in the world! BUT it got better when i was waiting in the line just to see the cosplay con test and out of now where a hinata came up and ask for a hug and said "you're the best sakura cosplayer i have ever met!" then after that day the town got flooded ( we call it floodcon 2010 for a joke lol) but everything is better now !

My first convention was fun, but it was so much better once I started staying in the hotels there. I was underage when I first started going, so I had my mom drop me off or go there with me for hours, we never stayed late enough to rave till I was 17. Was the s**t. I've been going for years. Each year just seems to get better. 20
Anime raves aren't as nice as real ones though, it feels kind of stupid to go to one after having gone to a real one, what even more stupid are the people at the raves at cons on rolls. Are you kidding me? Go to a real rave then. :/

I have a ton of friends from HS (back when I was in it) that go, that makes it the best.
The first time I was there I was an awkward person so....awkward times...

I think my first con was in 06, A-Kon.

It was fun, until I ran into my first male Misty. My eyes are still recovering from the scars of that day. Oh yea, and I cosplayed as Tobi from Shippuden
So I recently had my first disappointment. I ordered an assassin's creed cosplay from some random website and it looked ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the picture. It was bright silver. Thankfully they're allowing a refund.

Anime Expo 2007

When I saw the convention, HOO BOY was I giddy and nervous as hell. I had NO idea what to expect when I got there, and after getting inside, I had so much. After that, I just keep going to AX every year. I cosplayed Soi Fon from Bleach for two days, and the other two days I wore regular clothes since I wasn't big into cosplaying like I am now.
Anime Blast Chattanooga 2011

That was my first 'real' con. Before then, I had went to Clarksville DayCon and since it was only a day, I don't really count it as my first con... so ABC was my first ever one. It was also my first time cosplaying! I was Reno from Final Fantasy VII the entire weekend. When I first got there, I was sort of hesitant and not sure if people would like my cosplay...

But I was pleasantly surprised! Not soon after ten minutes of arriving there, I was glomped for the first time. XD the rest of the weekend was full of compliments and of course a few snapshots!

So my first one was really fun. I met some really awesome people and had a ton of fun!~

Hopefully I will have lots more awesome con experiences!
