While working on my Shino .Hack//GU costume:

1. Ended up sewing the majority of the first day of a con. still didnt finish.

2. After rushing and finally finishing my costume and staff, had to make some glueing adjustments before heading downstairs to Metrocon (biggest con i go to). It was all fine, until i walked down to the convention center (hotel and center combine from a bridge thing). It led me to the 2nd story of the convention center. so i go to the escalator and wait... and the top of the staff just pops off.. infront of everyone, the second i got downstairs. Got me so frustrated out of al the work i put into it.
Oh gosh, all that work e o e

You go to Metrocon? SWEET.
I'm going this year.

Going this year too, not sure as who though. Hmmmm

I have a bad habit of pinning needles to myself or things around me when I'm sewing and sometimes they tend to fall and get lost. Happened once again to me one time, but I found it quickly later - when I sat down.

Another would have to be working on a cosplay the night (and early morning) of a convention...
Later that afternoon I fell asleep in a patch of grass outside the convention. >.>

Same.
Plus my sewing machine is an ancient piece of garbage. So in the end I ended up hand-sewing everything.

Sewing a couple of buttons on the side of my wrist, for later in the con, missing one. Luckily I always carry an extra one because it bugs me due to the missing detail. >,<'

Where do I even start...

When styling my friends Gary Oak wig, I got hairspray in my eyes and mouth.

When sewing a kimono, because of the slippery fabric, it went through the sewing machine to fast and the needle went right through my finger multiple times.

When sewing my Yoko jacket from gurren lagann I pierced my leg with a leather needle.

When making my gun for yoko I stepped on the hot glue gun, burning my foot.

When making my friends Sora shoes I got a high from the glue we were using since we didnt know it was construction glue and it was supposed to be used outside only.

on my way to a cosplay show case with the costume I had been working on for months my friend spilled a latte on me and my costume, staining it.

At every convention that I have cosplayed a Naruto character at, I have fallen down the escalator because of the ninja shoes.

There are more I just cannot remember them at the moment.
I've glued my fingers together multiple times with super glue and hot glue. Hot glue BUUURNS. I've also trashed a few of my jeans from paint, too. xD But I still wear them trololol.
I was cutting the front of a vest to make it a little shorter, but I had intended to keep the back longer. Buuut I got distracted and I accidentally cut the whole thing straight across and the vest ended up really short. It was like the day before a convention so I didn't have time to remake it. Sadface.
I'm a huge procastinator, so for me it has been:

sewing in hotel rooms during the cons

putting a wood chisel into my left pointer finger since it slipped on the wood I was carving -nope I didn't feel any pain, was very sharp-

sewed my patterns and myself to my projects

glued my self to projects with a hot glue gun.

I'm a bit accident prone.
I burned a huge chunk of my hair off when I accidentally held a heat gun too close to my hair last year.
Probably getting the ordered cosplay and finding out it's too small/too big.
-I bought a wig. It was the wrong color. I bought a lot of expensive stuff to dye it with. It is still the wrong color. xD

-Bought a wig. Way shorter than it looked in the picture.

-Bought a wig. Friend told me it was wayy overpriced. Thanks.

-Usually its I just buy lots of crap that I don't use. Like dog collars. They are not very comfortable to wear....

- accidentally sewing something inside out
- making something and it ends up being too small/large than you intended it to be
- sewing while wearing long sleeves and sewing your sleeve to the fabric (yep, I'm a derp.)
- backing into a hot glue gun and burning off a chunk of your arm.
- sewing something by hand at the last minute and have it fall apart during the con (it was the first thing I ever sewed, sue me)
- get a stain (from paint or something else impossible to get out) on your cosplay >:[
- use too much hairspray on a wig and manage to glue your hand to it (Got2B Glued REALLY MEANS IT when they say 'glued')
- getting high off of spraypaint
- bought a wig thats too thin.
- buy fabric for cosplay. it sits around for ages. forget the cosplay. never use the fabric ever.
- cut a wig too short (I cried once over a wig :/)
- buy something, it doesn't get there on time.
- break the zipper you just sewed on, and have to buy a new one.
Mine is a bit gross haha, but when I was making a white kasumi cosplay, after I had finished sewing my cat who was not neutered at the time sprayed it. I learned to keep my costumes locked up after that sweatdrop I had to start it over, which wasn't very fun.

Well....I couldn't hem something that I really wanted to, so the fabric was...splitting? or whatever and looked horrible. Luckily I was able to trim off the loose threads and it looks ok now.

Ummmm......oh! I brought a gorgeous long wig for my Yoko cosplay (Gurren Lagann) to Otakon last year, but we were unsuccessful in finding a way to keep it up in a ponytail (I'm not the best with wigs lol...so my friend who is told me it was impossible and there wasn't enough time or materials to cut the ponytail and turn it into a clip-on). Soooo I had to go and buy a wig at the con, which I'm absolutely in love with....at least I can use my old wig for Grell razz .

What else....oh! I was bringing in my sister's shorts for her Finnian (Kuroshitsuji aka Black Butler) cosplay and I did the one leg perfectly...but somehow the other leg ended up inside-out...well not the whole leg but just the part that I sewed together to take it in.

That's all I can think of...I'm sure I will have more horror stories before this Otakon arrives.
While I was making my Zangetsu sword, I was using a box cutter to cut it out of the cardboard and I had placed the cutter down for a second to turn it around to cut the other side and I forgot it was there. I sliced my pinky toe pretty badly and it took over an hour to stop the bleeding.

It was my dumbass fault for not wearing socks or shoes. Figured I'd be comfortable while working on it for hours at a time sweatdrop
